Fantasy football Trends From The Top – GW15

Welcome to this week’s edition of Trends From the Top. While Crystal Palace and Everton have yet to play, I certainly have been kicking myself as I decided this was the week to bring in Kolarov (1 point). I also thought that this was a great time to bring in Ozil and that wouldn’t have been too bad if I hadn’t traded Arnautovic (16 points) while taking a 4 point hit. Well let’s take a look at our new leaders and see what they have been up to.

Who was the most captained player by the top ten for Gameweek 15?

This week, 30% of the top ten managers selected Ozil (12 points) while another 30% selected Ighalo (20 points). Two additional managers selected Lukaku while the remaining 2 managers selected De Bruyne (4 points) and Giroud (8 points).

Lol, sorry mate! Evening all. Couldn’t actually get a proper connection in the stadium. Not that there was much to report at HT anyway!

A few musings from the game then. Deulofeu is very good in the flesh, defenders are petrified of him and actually back off when he’s in the box as they know they can’t risk it as he’s so quick. Stones is a class act. Coleman is great but I can’t figure out if he’s a bit nullified from an attacking sense with Deulofeu ahead of him because he doesn’t make space for him, he simply hugs the touch line and demands the ball, and usually gets it to feet and just goes at the full back, hence no real overlap from Coleman and none required really.

Other than that – Kone is useless. Barry keeps it all together. Mori is dodgy as. We need Baines back in for attacking balance and I wouldn’t be surprised if he starts on Saturday. Martinez needs to be more proactive with his subs. Kone should have gone early with Mirallas or Naismith on.

Anyway, Liam loved his first game which was the main thing!

Awww, great pics Init! Too bad Everton couldn’t catch any breaks, you really should have taken all 3 points with those shots pinging off the posts and crossbar left and right. Glad you and Liam had a good time though! smile

Really glad the little fella enjoyed it. Pictures look super.

I tweeted last night about how much I thought of Stones. Looks already quite accomplished and so comfortable with the ball.

There was once in particular when he stepped out and side stepped and dummied about 4 Palace players which was pure class. Him and Coleman are happy enough and good enough to take a few risks and play their way out of trouble. Problem is that Mori then thinks he can do the same and that usually ends in disaster!

        • I remember that one. Watched the match and agree with your assessments above.

Even Howard in behind had two very good saves from a Wickham header and a Bolasie shot (saved with his feet).

          Looking promising.

I picked Stones over Ward to start and took a -4 to replace Ighalo with Lukaku.

Terrible fucking defending by Palace. It’s like they want to concede one goal per game. Ffs. PARDEW. Brings on Gayle. Crazy.

Barry got that assist, poor Deulofeou :/

Lukaku hitting the post twice, once form a Barkley pass, who also struck the woodwork himself… could’ve been a big night!

Would it be silly to do Aguero —–> Kane despite his form?
