Fantasy football Trends From The Top – GW29
Welcome to this week’s edition of Trends From the Top. What have the leaders been up to and what will our leaders being doing as we edge towards the end of the season? Let’s take a look and see what trends if any ensued.
Who were the most popular players chosen by the top ten for Gameweek 29?
Goalkeepers: This week was rather interesting as our top managers selected 7 different goalkeepers. This is in fact the most diverse we have seen this category for the entire season. Hart, Courtois and Butland were the most popular picks coming in at 20% ownership while Forster, de Gea, Schmeichel and Fabianski each came in with 10%.
Defenders: As usual, we saw a plethora of defenders played by the top ten; a total of 14 different players. Alderweireld and Azpilicueta were the most popular picks as 5 of the 10 managers selected both. Fuchs and Huth came in at 30% ownership while Sagna, van Dijk, Francis, Fonte, Williams and Cresswell each had 20%. The remaining defenders all came in with 10% ownership: Kompany, Dier, Otamendi and Simpson.
Midfielders: When you look at midfielders, the top 10 managers had 12 different picks with several getting only 10% of the vote such as Sanchez, Ayew, Sigurdsson, and Fabregas. 100% of managers selected Mahrez followed by Payet with 80%, Ozil with 60%, Firmino, Barkley, Silva and Willian with 30%, and Alli with 20%.
Forwards: This week, the front line consisted of only 5 picks among the top managers. 100% had Vardy yet out of those 9 managers, none of them gave Vardy the armband. Aguero with an ownership rate of 90% and was selected as captain for all the top teams less one which selected Lukaku. Kane and Lukaku each had an ownership ate of 30% while Afobe came in at 20%.

In summation, the Must-Haves for top managers for Gameweek 29 were Alderweireld, Azpilicueta, Payet, Mahrez, Ozil, Vardy and Aguero as they all had an ownership rate of 50% or higher.
Other interesting facts:
* The average score for Gameweek 29 among the top 10 was 80.0 points which was an impressive 27 points above average for the week.
* The average team/club value was 107.5 with 110.1 being the most expensive team and 105.4 being the cheapest team.
* Most of the leaders have deployed all their chips.
* England represented 40% the leader board as while the other countries represented were Australia (currently in the lead), Sweden (20%), Canada, Bosnia-Herzegovina and Scotland.

Triple captain on a double gameweek but what about the bench boost & Wildcard? Plus AOA which I’m not sure i’ll actually use
Are people who have them Wildcarding on the double gameweek and then using their bench boost or triple c?
Or WC after to have a decent team for the last few weeks?
yeah gna use bench boost and triple captain on the DGWs. prob gna wildcard before GW34.
Triple Captain and Bench Boost on the 2 DGWs and I’ve already used my AOA attack so in not sure when the next best chance would be.
I currently have Westwood as my 5th mid at the minute so AOA isn’t that appealing, not really sure when I’ll use it.

so for GW 30, I need a new keeper, I have basically narrowed it down to Butland or Hart? Who would be better?
Also, assuming arsenal beats hull, I would only have 10 players, so should I get rid of Payet? Or keep and field 10 players? If I get rid of him, who would be the best option? Yaya or siggy?
Hi niloh, I’d go Hart myself, in fact I did! As for Payet you may as well replace him with one of those given as you have a FT to do so. I’d fancy Siggy personally but either is fine.

In a big trouble I think 😛 Did Cresswell -> Williams with my 1Ft as he was rising and assuming Arsenal qualifies I would have to bench Ivanovic, Ozil, Payet, Monreal and Targett doesn’t play so will take a hit but not sure about -8 to get playing Xi. So should I remove Ivanovic or targett or Monreal (as Gibbs played against Spurs). Maybe targett might return with red card to Fonte so… SUGGESTIONS PLEASE !!
wait and pray that Arsenal doesnt win against Hull 😛
If Arsenal gets a blank gw i would do Monreal or Ivan to Kompany, if they play i would leave it as it is
It does look like a pickle mate. I would love to tell you Targett will come in but I think Yoshida will come in. Maybe just do Ivanovic out because he’s been fairly poor and it could free up funds.
Yaa, will get Iva out most probably for Kompany I think and hope Targett plays or even comes as a sub to give me 1 point, also since he has not played Soton lost agiainst Bournemouth and drew against Sunder so hope Koeman plays him now !
Obviously best will be Hull defeating Arsenal that would be awesome

If I don’t take hit I have possiblity of playing only 9 players that would be disaster I think, Iva -> Kompany seams reasonable !
It’d be a good move if Kompany gets a cleanie and you keep him for the DGW. But, Ivan would also have a double either in GW34 or 37. So, your call..
I thinkg Kompany is going to play in both DGW and Chelsea will have 1? Right?

Bruhhhh don’t get Lloris, believe me ! He has been really frustating :/ I have had him since long time ! Since Gw 19 he has been able to register only 2 CS I know spurs has best defense in PL and that’s why you want him and that’s the reason I went for him but believe me he is of no good till now for me and more frustating is he doesn’t get enough saves too to get some 3 or 4 pointers.He is World class GK and makes awesome saves but that’s it, spurs tends to concede atleast 1 goal only one in there defense should be considered is Alderwaird. I would suggest getting Fabianski instead !

Just play Arnie,hope Ruddy gets some save points and save your transfer would be my advice Wafflez.
