Who are you? Who are you? Fantasy manager profiles Part 6
Here at FF247 towers we’ve often wondered what driving forces hide behind a comment or a rate my team reply, do we really know the mindset and the persona of the people we are conversing with?! To find the answers to these questions we have lured some regulars from out of their caves and got them to endure a simple Q&A session.
Hopefully this will help us to uncover whether each member can be viewed as a ‘fellow sports enthusiast’, ‘colleague’, ‘fantasy friend’, ‘internet troll’ or indeed ‘sociopath’! Let’s take a look inside the minds of our latest two ‘victims’ then and see whether, hiding behind the cute monkey gravatars, lurks a sadistic, megalomaniacal, psychotic keyboard warrior. Or just a normal guy or gal who likes to play fantasy football…
We will add a disclaimer here – we have resolved to not edit what is sent in at all. What you see is what you (we) get.
Next up to the examination table are Josh721 and TJ our team-sheet guru.

Many thanks to both Josh and TJ for being so candid! We hope you know your two fellow ‘fantasy friends’ a little better now.
If you feel that you would like to expose your inner self then please feel free to mail us at contact@fantasyfootball247.co.uk and we shall have peakydave interrogate you! If you have already submitted one, which many have, we are publishing them in the order received and hopefully yours will be along soon.
Thanks again Peaky for doing these interviews! It was fun to be chosen for one of these. Hope you guys enjoy it!! And TJ, I play FIFA a lot too when I can. Got a PS4 for my birthday this past July and I’ve been hooked ever since haha. The last time I played it was like 4 years ago. Best game ever.
And for those of you who live under a rock and don’t know who Alex Morgan is, here’s a picture. Or maybe I just wanted to give an excuse to post a picture of her 😛 A nice break from all of Raz’s monkey pictures perhaps? 😉 Anyway, you’re welcome.
Also updated world ranking for me: 75,060. The one in the article is a little outdated
Oh, and i’ve not exactly been living under a rock, but i had never heard of this young lady before tonight. Thank you for bring her and i together. I see what you mean about her eyes!
Best game ever, but the most frustrating thing ever at times!
Heres how Im looking for the next GW, still have my FT incase of incase of injuries during the international break. If Cesc is injured by the time the next GW arrives, Il just switch him with Siggy, no need for anything drastic
Slow Poison – that’s a pretty good team you got there. I would advise you to play Sigurdsson though over Wanyama or Chadli. I haven’t been watching Southampton play, but I don’t think Wanyama can keep up his scoring.
Noted, thanks for your input
Hi guys
Just thinking what transfer should i make this GW. Have 1.0 itb and 2Ft
Any suggestions???
Thinking of Fabregas and welbeck out for Costa and Siggy
Devilred – Di Maria to Sanchez would be an obvious move. Then you could either save the other transfer or change Welbeck to Austin, Sakho, or someone cheaper. Berahino is a good option too.
Thanks Josh. But as a Man utd fan and looking at their fixtures have my faith on ADM.I have a feeling he will either score or assist a goal or two nxt week.
If you do the Welbeck move for someone cheaper, you can afford Sanchez in place of Fabregas (who may miss games due to injury).
Yeah i could do that but don’t think it will be wise to go without any chelsea cover.
Hi guys. I basically just have no idea what to do this week. Team is linked
Cheers in advance
If you don’t know, then wait till after the internationals have been played.
ok mate. Will do
apologies for not being able to contribute for some time. Work has been killing me. I just managed to get the correct captain decision last week. holding strong!
Morning Hoof – relax my friend, hope all is ok, good to see you.
Morning all, happy Monday!
Hope we all enjoyed a great GW11…and now two weeks off, damnit!
Thanks to Josh and TJ, great read lads, well done. And thanks again to Peaky for putting it all together.
Cookie – should I be offended I haven’t been questioned by peaky?! Decent GW?
well, frankly yes you should!! drop him a dm on twitter mate, I think he’ll accept you!
76pts, helped by Baines, Chadli and Dummett y’day…..wrong capo though. How’d you end up ?
Morning Cookie,
As I’ve already made my transfers I’m going to sit back, relax & enjoy the two week break…well that’s the plan, however I’ll probably spend the two weeks worrying about my players picking up injuries while on international duty!
Morning all, not like you to jump in with both feet Kopster, you’ll be on the edge of your seat for 2 weeks. Were the transfers due to funding ?
Not really Elle! But I’d made my mind up that I wanted Sanchez…I could’ve waited but he’ll probably be 0.3m more expensive in two weeks. If things go tits up I’ll take a hit to sort it.
I’m liking the new Kop, Kop!! I have two fts burning in my pocket – what have we turned into?!!
Cookie, clearly you’ll need to make two quite sensible transfers!
Wow Cookie and Kop are going for the big leagues here! I was about to take a hit to bring in Sanchez, but the risk, oh the risk!
are you offering to RMT my lot?
Milky, I brought him last night but it wasn’t for a hit. If you take a hit to bring him in now and anything goes wrong you’ll need another hit to sort it out.
Hi fellas, I’m looking at Sanchez too, but apparently he played significantly deeper after Walcott came on yday? Maybe I’m too fondly remembering seasons gone by, and maybe I’m trying to be too stingy by saving almost a couple of mil, but reckon I’ll hold off Alexis and pick up Wally instead..
Not sure about that Cookie 😉
CC, the flip side to that is the possibility that Wally wont be as good due to the injury. However if Wally does turn out to be the man to have from Arsenal it will be a simple downgrade
Haha Kop: I know, that’s why I’ve held off making any transfers!
Cookie: I’ll RMT?
CC: Wally, Smally. Wait to see!
Milky just make sure you have the cash for the transfers later. Looks like Sanchez will go up I least twice during the week maybe 3 and Sterling and ADM who I assume are the players many are selling will go down once or twice. So you could be looking at .5 or so if you make the transfers after they come back from the Internationals.
here you go then Milky and anyone….
nothing in the bank, 2 free transfers…..cheers
Depends if you want Sanchez and how badly I suppose. Could downgrade Pelle and take either Fab (depending on injury) or Di Maria out. Can’t really see anywhere else you could make up the money.
If your not bothered about Sanchez then I’d sit tight over the Internationals and see what occurs.
Blue, what are you thinking of doing with Pelle after GW12? He doesn’t seem a great idea to have until GW22. Was wondering if you had any intention of selling him?
My initial thought was for you to stop getting it wrong in the midfield and downgrade one of them to a cheapie. Turn ADM or Cesc into Theo/Sanchez and with the extra dough look to upgrade Pelle to a Sturridge type for GW13 assuming he is back by then. But not sure how you feel about the Liverpool striker.
Cookie, Fab/ADM and Downing/Chadli/Siggy to Sanchez and Wanyama?
Thanks guys. I’m leaning towards Walcott at the moment. Sanchez has been great these last few weeks, no doubt, but am loving a fit Theo at 9mln.
Re Saints, are their fixtures really that bad? Apart from Chelsea in GW19, I don’t see much to scare them. City, United, Arsenal….not exactly the best at the back.
Could be right Blue, but teams like Saints always fall apart at some point and finish 8th. If it is going to happen, it will probably be through this 9 or 10 game stretch.
re Walcott, he is fantasy gold when he’s fit, no doubt. I’m concerned he will be a bench player for another 3-4 weeks at least, wenger is being ultra cautious, worth waiting but then sanchez is rocketing in price. I have pelle but am thinking of taking out because he has got a lot of his points at home against lower oppo… I’m thinking right now the best formation is to get towards a 3-5-2 with aguero and costa, too many strong mfs to choose from..
Cookie, I completely agree with you regarding Southampton. Yes they started well last season and then fell away, but 5 or 6 of the current starting XI weren’t even with the club last season and they have a new manager. I did sell Mane last night but that was to finance Sanchez and I’ll be hanging onto Clyne and Pelle for a couple of weeks, at the very least.
kop – I get your reasoning and I think given their defensive record this season you’d be mad to ditch clyne but with pelle, you have to look at it simplistically – is pelle going to be worth a lot more than sakho, Austin, berahino, ayoze over the next 5+ gameweeks – and I mean significantly more? the answer is no. therefore we are looking at a 3-5-2 with ayoze/kane or 3-4-3 with a stronger mf that includes sanchez. either way do not drop aguero or costa unless injured
Ah good old 3-5-2!! It becomes flavour of the month every now and again…
Morning lads.
Kop – I too spent 2 FT’s last night, for Sanchez. Di Maria looks choked in the United formation and Sanchez just wont stop scoring. Has last season’s Yaya written all over it. Sanchez, Costa, Aguero. Job done
Hopefully it works out for us NIN!
Indeed. Aguero is my main worry over this break. Hopefully Argentina use him sparingly. He’s about as close to being a perma-cap as can be, just now.
