Fantasy Premier League Set Piece Takers 2014-15

Tips Ok then so we saw quite a few requests for an updated ‘Set-Piece takers’ list on the comments recently and it jogged our memory that we hadn’t done one and as ever we took notice and decided to take action. We had a quick look around the offices of FF247 and found Eddy and Flingy slumped in the corner playing cards and a light bulb came on! So suddenly Eddy became our roving reporter and was whisked around the world to see all of the pre-season friendlies he could manage in order to bring you the latest set-piece table, while we locked Flingy in a darkened room, with Google as his only friend, to bring you the stats on last seasons set-piece specialists. Enjoy…

Please find below the FF247 Set Piece Takers List for 2014/15. This list is a guide that we hope will help you select players that have the potential to bring in goals and crucial assist points. The table is based on information gathered from last season’s games, Opta stats, pre-season friendlies and FF247 community input.

The article itself is archived under the tab at the top of the page entitled Tips/News and is linked under the drop down box ‘FPL SET-PIECE TAKERS 2014-15’ so you can refer back to it at any time, as are many of our other articles and helpful tools such as Fixture Tracker and Weekly Tips.

Please be aware that this list is subject to change due to player injuries, drop in form, suspensions, manager whims, etc. The list will be updated throughout the season and as ever we welcome anybody in our community to inform us if you are aware of any updated roles or indeed anything you think we have got wildly inaccurate! You’re not perfect and neither are we 😉

Players are listed in order of priority for each particular role –

So while Eddy was jet setting around the globe, Flingy was busy squirreling away to bring us the highlights of last season’s set-piece stats which are below for your perusal. The first deals with the players who had the ‘Most’ in each section. The second examines the teams themselves. We hope you find these both informative and helpful. There are obviously some players in there who are no longer with us (gone abroad, not died) and there are new players at some clubs who will take over some of these duties.

Hey B – feels like you’re one big-hitter short in midfiled, but I like Haz and Sanchez together. Haven’t seen many teams with both of them. I’m sticking with Sanchez, but maybe look at Sanchez>Ramsey to upgrade Snoddy or Tadic?

Hi nice spread of money but is there a way to get more top tier coverage in the attack? At the moment you have 3 out of 7 attackers from three average at best teams. In particular would avoid any ‘smaller’ club team that has got Europa League – every season it’s the same story of the small.club that did well last season getting the poisoned chalice of European ventures that stretches them beyond their means and squad.

Hey guys and girls, how are we all? Been on my holidays for three weeks so will be trying to get a team together. Just wondering if the rules and the points system are the same as last year?
    Thanks

Hey ft, been anywhere nice? Rules etc pretty much as was. They’ve tweaked the bonus behind the bonus slightly but the actual points given out are still as was. Best I can tell it now favours full backs marginally over CB’s.

Yeah mate been chilling in the Maldives with not a care in the world! Now time for the real fun to start! I will read the bonus points rules now,
        Thanks.

Just a reminder guys. If you’ve got your team linked via your name on here (it’ll be in red) then you need to change it if you haven’t already as it will have last seasons FPL ID number on it. This years are different so you’ll be linking to someone else. Depending on their ranking you may wish to leave it though 😉

Was the automatic comment updating taken off again then? It’s all static for me..

Latest edit of my team. Isgrove’s a random punt, Gylfi will play majority of my games.

Will become less Chelski/United-heavy as the season progresses and fixtures become more favourable for others.

    1m spare to play with.
