Fantasy World Cup Live Match Chat Day 3

Today’s the day we’ve all been waiting for – our hopes have been raised, we’ve been told that the group is a happy group and optimism within the camp is high. Yep, it’s time to see if these Colombians are truly as good as Mito keeps banging on about! They kick off day 3 at 5pm as they tackle the stubborn Greeks. And then Group D comes to the party as Uruguay play Costa Rica – this is of course a chance to see Messrs Cavani and Suarez play together, if the latter is passed fit.

And then it’s England – good ol’ England. Italy are the opponents and it’s likely to be a tight affair between two sides who generally start tournaments slowly. Kick off is not until 11pm UK time so book in for a late night and enjoy!

Sit back, relax and enjoy the action right here at FF247 Live Match Chat, an interactive chat which encourages you to keep involved and share your thoughts and emotions as the matches take place.

Thanks for reading Fantasy World Cup Live Match Chat Day 3 – Good luck everyone!

Hart is so poor whenever he goes off the line. It’s just luck that Balo didn’t score with that chip, and he would never even have gotten the oppurtunity if Hart had gotten back in goal after he went off the line. He does this at times for City too, it’s not few times opposing players have scored in an open goal because he’s off the line.

Useless, same old side absolutely devoid of an ideas. Even now with 5 minutes to go there is no sense of urgency at all! :cuss:

Unbelievable. The heat clearly had a big impact. Very flat last 30 mins, especially given they were trailing. Might have been better taking Sterling oof. He looked dead on his feet.

*any. Sterling was brilliant, but no-one else really shared his enthusiasm or fed off it, though Barkley looked sharp when he came on too. Fuck’s sake.

cant believe you boys watched the same game as me ? yes Italy was clinical but England where by far the better side , wots with the negative ?

        • Bench, my ‘unbelievable” comment was re how flat it went in the second half. As i said, i think the heat clearly hit them hard. As per my comment early on, i agree that was the most exciting forward display i’ve seen in a long time. Plenty of reasons for england fans to be positive. I think they need to sort out someone to protect baines though. He was left exposed several times.

In the last half hour of the game when we were losing there is still no closing down at all, just loads of standing off, and when we get the ball just loads of sideways passing and speculative shooting, other than Sterling and Barkley as mentioned.

Probably will need to win both games, definitely need to beat Costa Rica and hope Italy does. Then a tie with Uruguay could be ok.

Lets not get too down, it was a good effort by the boys, the only thing i saw wrong was playing Rooney on the left.

There wasn’t much between the two teams, a bit more luck we could have won it.

    Disappointed, but not down hearted.
