In fact, call it what you want – either way, it’s sudden death time – lose and you go home, outta here, offski and this will likely mean that your coach resigns or gets the chop or in England’s case receives a pat on the back and a “bad luck old chap”.
The final day of the round sees the Argies back on display as they attempt to neutralise the Swiss – that shouldn’t be tricky. However, with the likes of di Maria and Higuain quiet so far and Aguero injured (obviously), it’s been down to little Leo to carry the Argies through the group. Easy then, mark Messi out the game and you’ll be fine – how many times have we heard that before?! Switzerland’s only chance of course is if Shaqiri turns on the style and his hat-trick vs Honduras will leave him feeling on top of his game.
The round is concluded as Belgium take on the US of A. Could be a tough one to call this as Belgium have hardly set the tournament on fire as yet, while the Yanks have surprised many with their courage and adventure. Klinsmann of course, has been here before and knows what it takes to get through this stage of the tournament and there’ll surely be cries of “Mashed potato” and “You’re the man” if awesome talisman Dempsey can lead America through to the quarters, or quarter finals, or last 8, or the round of 8…..we’ve gone full circle here.

I may or may not have someone sitting on the bench 😉 If I did, then right about now I’d be weighing up yet more points lost vs potential points gained. I just have to hope Kop brings in one or two at the expense of some points and they get sent off in the first minute!

I have Oscar as a straight switch out on 6 but Benzema sat on 4 which would mean a dreaded formation change…. Would be a 3-4-3 to a 3-5-2 with players who’ve all played lining the right hand side. Anyone done this successfully?

My formation changes have worked perfectly but i’m yet to try it with a team full of players who’ve already played. I reckon it’ll work though.

Currently sat on 108 all finished, after many gambles!!!
Subbed out Cillessen on 9 for Karnezis who got 3, but then got lucky with 14 from Mbolhi.
Took the captaincy off J Rod who scored 28 (14×2) as i had Benzema (4) Mueller (7) and eventually Messi with 11 still to play, so i lost out by 3 there.
My oppo Flingy has 101, but not sure if he has anyone to play in the last game.

Just about the only thing I like about this format is the panic it causes in H2H battles when u can’t see your opponents team!!!!
