Welcome to FPL Live Match Chat Gameweek 1

And we go again…

Saturday afternoons will never be the same without Jeff, but we shall plough on regardless. The selfish b@stard will no doubt be sunning himself in some far flung destination with a cocktail in his hand. If this was North Korea he’d have died in that chair. Maybe they do get some things right, after all..

And so, with potential death threat no.1 of the season out of the way, down to the action…

We begin on Friday with Man City going to Burnley at 8pm. Get used to Friday’s as it looks like it is a thing again, at least for the opening month.

Saturday begins with Arsenal already chasing, most likely, as they host Forest in the early game.

Simon (Thomas) is our new Jeff at 3pm, he’s a nice bloke, and he gets under way with 4 games – Bournemouth v West Ham, Luton at Brighton, Everton welcoming Fulham and Palace going to The Blades. Clearly they don’t want him to get too overexcited on day 1… The late one should be a good game though as Newcastle host Villa.

That leaves us with 2 on Sunday – Brentford v Spurs at 2pm and Chelsea v Liverpool at 4.30pm. And then the final one is on Monday as Man United welcome Wolves at 8pm.

    • Kane and KdB I can understand, but none of the others.

      • Yep, it doesn’t mean the ones who did well will do it again next week. Monitor players for at least 3 games.

      • I have timber and stones on a yellow flag. Thinking timber to Saliba is a safe move?

        • On Stones, Guardiola’s post Burnley comment was that he will likely be ready for the next premier league match, something to do with adductor muscle. Timber, best to probably change to Saliba

        • I just realised that Reg. Tried a few times to update but ain’t working. Must be the FPL site wacko

        • I think it’s working now. But only for our newer comments not our older comments. It’s working since we updated for our newer comments.

  4. It’s GW1, plenty of template or near template teams with results supporting those players. It was bound to a high scoring GW. Lots of teams lack Pool players, so todays fixtures are equally telling for different reasons. Hold Fast on all or any transfers till GW3….
