And we go again…

Saturday afternoons will never be the same without Jeff, but we shall plough on regardless. The selfish b@stard will no doubt be sunning himself in some far flung destination with a cocktail in his hand. If this was North Korea he’d have died in that chair. Maybe they do get some things right, after all..

And so, with potential death threat no.1 of the season out of the way, down to the action…

We begin on Friday with Man City going to Burnley at 8pm. Get used to Friday’s as it looks like it is a thing again, at least for the opening month.

Saturday begins with Arsenal already chasing, most likely, as they host Forest in the early game.

Simon (Thomas) is our new Jeff at 3pm, he’s a nice bloke, and he gets under way with 4 games – Bournemouth v West Ham, Luton at Brighton, Everton welcoming Fulham and Palace going to The Blades. Clearly they don’t want him to get too overexcited on day 1… The late one should be a good game though as Newcastle host Villa.

That leaves us with 2 on Sunday – Brentford v Spurs at 2pm and Chelsea v Liverpool at 4.30pm. And then the final one is on Monday as Man United welcome Wolves at 8pm.

      • Still not bad for Colwill though a £4.5m in a top side that is usually pretty good defensively that was against a good team.

      Fair play Shadow, but I’d wait to see what happens tomorrow and with City on Wednesday. Could have other fires to fight.

        I’ll hold fire for now and see how it’s looking come midweek.

  3. Pleased with my team so far, could have done without the yellows and a real pity Jackson didn’t score, but all my subs played and Gabriel is my only disappointment, I just need Rashford to score and that will be a good start for me.
    I am not planning any moves, but are there any that people think I should make to improve? £0 ITB

    • Nice! Definitely save the free transfer.
      I can see Arteta playing Gabriel for the Palace game. Or at least I hope he does.

      • Yes this is also my dilemma. I feel the same: keep Gabriel for now…

    • I am in the same boat with Gabriel and will hold fire on the FT. #HoldTheLine

  4. I’m wondering if I should worry about Stones.

    • I’d hold out an extra week. City play Wednesday night which might give a better idea. Hopefully he is on the bench fir that.

  6. So before tonight’s Man Utd v Wolves match here’s how my team lies.
    For Gameweek 2 I’ll be getting shut of Stones as with City getting a clean sheet at Burnley I cannot see Pep changing his starting eleven?
    But for now it’s happy days in potty’s world

    • Every chance stones may start if he is fit. But as usual with pep, no guarantees. Only ederson and haaland and rodri are safe.

    • Who’s top of your shopping list Potty? Estu? Or something more leftfield?!
