FPL Live Match Chat Gameweek 1
Welcome to FPL Live Match Chat Gameweek 1
And we go again…
Saturday afternoons will never be the same without Jeff, but we shall plough on regardless. The selfish b@stard will no doubt be sunning himself in some far flung destination with a cocktail in his hand. If this was North Korea he’d have died in that chair. Maybe they do get some things right, after all..
And so, with potential death threat no.1 of the season out of the way, down to the action…
We begin on Friday with Man City going to Burnley at 8pm. Get used to Friday’s as it looks like it is a thing again, at least for the opening month.
Saturday begins with Arsenal already chasing, most likely, as they host Forest in the early game.
Simon (Thomas) is our new Jeff at 3pm, he’s a nice bloke, and he gets under way with 4 games – Bournemouth v West Ham, Luton at Brighton, Everton welcoming Fulham and Palace going to The Blades. Clearly they don’t want him to get too overexcited on day 1… The late one should be a good game though as Newcastle host Villa.
That leaves us with 2 on Sunday – Brentford v Spurs at 2pm and Chelsea v Liverpool at 4.30pm. And then the final one is on Monday as Man United welcome Wolves at 8pm.
The games in full…

Best of luck everyone. Here we go again!
Well people, I guess it’s that time of year again! Time to wish each other good luck for this game week and for the ensuing season!
The chase is afoot Watson!
Cheerio one and all!
Oh great. NOW I read that Haaland scored a hatrick last time he played against Burnley! And it was part of a 6-0 win. FFS. Why didn’t I captain him?!
Ya very silly…
But, maybe not in time to start tomorrow
Awesome! Best back up in the league.
Competition for Ramsdale – interesting!
Good luck all
Damn, I knew I should have gone w/ Foden. Good luck to a new season everyone…
XI | Ederson, Walker, Akanji, Ake, Lewis, Rodrigo, De Bruyne (C), Bernardo, Foden, Alvarez, Haaland
I was tempted by Foden too, but went for Maddison instead fearing the Peptation.
True, Loud Atlas, who knows how often he’ll start (along w/ several of them). Went w/ B Silva instead at least, thinking he was more likely to get the nod game in/out.
