And we go again…
Saturday afternoons will never be the same without Jeff, but we shall plough on regardless. The selfish b@stard will no doubt be sunning himself in some far flung destination with a cocktail in his hand. If this was North Korea he’d have died in that chair. Maybe they do get some things right, after all..
And so, with potential death threat no.1 of the season out of the way, down to the action…
We begin on Friday with Man City going to Burnley at 8pm. Get used to Friday’s as it looks like it is a thing again, at least for the opening month.
Saturday begins with Arsenal already chasing, most likely, as they host Forest in the early game.
Simon (Thomas) is our new Jeff at 3pm, he’s a nice bloke, and he gets under way with 4 games – Bournemouth v West Ham, Luton at Brighton, Everton welcoming Fulham and Palace going to The Blades. Clearly they don’t want him to get too overexcited on day 1… The late one should be a good game though as Newcastle host Villa.
That leaves us with 2 on Sunday – Brentford v Spurs at 2pm and Chelsea v Liverpool at 4.30pm. And then the final one is on Monday as Man United welcome Wolves at 8pm.

apparently it was someone on Twitter spreading it, but it’s not true.
it’s GW1 and anyway you have picked Gabriel for a reason and that is a longer reason than missing one game, I have him and if he doesn’t play then he doesn’t play (which it seems he will play) there is nothing to worry about as he’s template so the main rivals all have him as well.

My GW2 set up, moved VC from Pedro to Salah. 1FT I don’t see any changes are necessary.

They can start now (well, overnight). Maybe wait and see what the issue is before getting rid (he’ll probably play next week!).

I doubt any prices will change this GW other than Kane and maybe Caicedo or someone else that gets a very bad injury in the remaining GW games

Pivoted onto him from Kane earlier, as didn’t want to rip up too much of my team with the Kane money.

I actually considered but then with so many midfield options and lack of striker options, couldn’t waste a valuable spot. I am glad I avoided foden and kdb though. But rodri is getting more in the box recently

Yeah, having City mids is a high risk. Not only the rotation but never know who will score next.

Yeah, I had Foden in my very first draft and also Stones, but they soon went and it was Foden pretty quick, I only have Haaland.
