And we go again…
Saturday afternoons will never be the same without Jeff, but we shall plough on regardless. The selfish b@stard will no doubt be sunning himself in some far flung destination with a cocktail in his hand. If this was North Korea he’d have died in that chair. Maybe they do get some things right, after all..
And so, with potential death threat no.1 of the season out of the way, down to the action…
We begin on Friday with Man City going to Burnley at 8pm. Get used to Friday’s as it looks like it is a thing again, at least for the opening month.
Saturday begins with Arsenal already chasing, most likely, as they host Forest in the early game.
Simon (Thomas) is our new Jeff at 3pm, he’s a nice bloke, and he gets under way with 4 games – Bournemouth v West Ham, Luton at Brighton, Everton welcoming Fulham and Palace going to The Blades. Clearly they don’t want him to get too overexcited on day 1… The late one should be a good game though as Newcastle host Villa.
That leaves us with 2 on Sunday – Brentford v Spurs at 2pm and Chelsea v Liverpool at 4.30pm. And then the final one is on Monday as Man United welcome Wolves at 8pm.

Very nice, but I would be happy with just 5,000 pts by season end myself.

Although the 26 was your captain. So assuming the captain gets that and the rest always score 13, and you field 11 every single week then it’d be 5,928. Sorry to dampen expectations

So far I have Stones and Gabriel out and have to rely on Chillwell and Baldock.
The only good news is that 10 minutes before deadline replaced Trossard with Richarlison and hope at least he plays.

What the actual F is Arteta doing?! Trying so hard to be Pep he’s rotating just for the fun of it.
Hoping it’s a back 3. Partey proved last season a right back he is not.

It’s a back 3 indeed. He’s trying to outpep Pep. Instead of taking the rightback to midfield he’s putting Partey in the rightback spot only to move him back to midfield. Not sure how it impacts Gabriel, hell, maybe he’s bluffing.
