Welcome to FPL Live Match Chat Gameweek 11

Not quite sure who is picking these Friday night games but it looks like another uninspiring one, with all due respect to each team, as Brentford host Brighton to ‘get us going’ this week.

In fact our TV gurus are at it again immediately on Saturday with Leicester and Palace at 12.30pm. Jeff himself will be bored stiff at 3pm with Fulham & Bournemouth and Wolves v Forest. The whole lot feels like some sick audition for Championship places next season.

Whether Spurs v Everton in the late TV game will be much better remains to be seen. Maybe the TV guy played H&L this week and had 1-1 down as his treble.

Sunday carries the most games not on gamstop UK this week with 5, although rather frustratingly 4 of them are at 2pm! You may be getting the impression that we are not overly inspired by the fixture planners work this week!

It feels like the whole weekend is geared towards Sunday at 4.30pm as Pep and Klopp go H2H. Haaland got rested completely and Salah was afforded the exact amount of minutes he needed to finally sharpen his senses. That all said, this one will probably be an awfully drab 1-1 and the rest will be classics!

The games in full…

Morning all. Not a very good gameweek. First red arrow in a couple of weeks. Would you play a free hit here? Or soak up a points hit? I’d be looking at a -8 at the very least. Currently top of my H2H league, but it’s really competitive and I doubt my opponent would take such a big hit…

Hello lads. Had planned on fielding 11 but Madison suspended means I will only do 10 after I use my 2ft. Should I take a hit to get someone in or just field 10? I still have my wild card to use but planed to use it when I don’t have to many ft (probably 13). Thoughts?

I was thinking Cucurella + Trossard in for James and Maddison. Not sure about a third, maybe solanke in for Jesus? That’s banking on wild carding next game week

One hit means -2pts, as you will probably choose a player who plays at least 60mins. So why not a small gamble. Solanke or maybe Wilson. Wilson has played 6 times this season and has produced something 4/6. No blanks yet at home.

Yeah great call actually mate thanks. The other two transfers sound alright?

      • Mid-priced myself says:

Trossard is fine. It’s hard to predict who are on Chelsea’s starting 11 though. For just one GW, you could take a look at CRY defence. Wolves has scored only 4 goals this season. Or maybe Pool defender, now boosted by win over MCI. Now that Matip and Konate are doubts, VVD is even more nailed.

Gone against the accepted wisdom and played my free hit! I have been poor at using these chips in previous seasons, using them far too late to make an impact, so I thought I’d make the most of it seeing that I have 6+ players out for this GWK. Praying for some super green arrows this week so I can get back in the pack. I’m currently sitting at the 1.6m spot after a rocky start!

I’m with you, Burnsy. I don’t know why more people aren’t playing FH to navigate BGW12. It’s kinda what the chip is designed for, I feel. It allows me to field a full playing 11 and have decent subs, plus lets me keep all 6 of my ARS/MCI players (currently top and second in table, so I don’t want to lose any of them) and the suspended Maddison. FH is a no-brainer to me.
