FPL Live Match Chat Gameweek 11
Welcome to FPL Live Match Chat Gameweek 11
So long as you don’t hold a candle for Friday Night Football, this coming week is as template as you can get; with a Saturday lunchtime kick-off, a bonanza at 3pm on that same afternoon, a Saturday Evening cracker, then onto a Super Sunday featuring two matches back-to-back starting at 2pm and all rounded off with a Monday Night Football offering.
Fulham v Manchester United is the Saturday 12.30pm curtain-raiser. Then we have five matches in the regular slot with Simon and the lads. A London Derby as west meets east – Brentford v West Ham United. Burnley host Crystal Palace in Lancashire, Everton welcome Brighton to Merseyside, Manchester City sharpen the knives for the Cherries and Sheffield United sharpen the Blades, for Wolves – who will be sharpening ….. their teeth?
Newcastle United v Arsenal at 5.30pm will be one not to miss.
Sunday then and it is Forest v Villa in a clash of former European Champions on the banks of the Trent. Luton Town v Liverpool at Kenilworth Road – Xabi Alonso and all that jazz – will be on at 4.30pm when undoubtedly many an FPL Captain will be performing.
Monday night is a London Derby again – but far fiercer as Spurs and Chelsea square off and they don’t like each other. Further spice is added as Spurs come into this as the better team which is not traditionally the way of it in this one.

Guys would you start Palmer or Gordon?
Good question – probably Gordon I guess, since he’s at home, but since it’s against Arsenal, it’s a little like being ‘between the Devil and the deep blue sea’, isn’t it? Maybe Palmer’s good days are still to come – on a Monday night at Spurs’ stadium things could get a bit difficult, but in a few matches, then his current promise will come to the fore I believe! Then again I could just be blowing it out my ….(oops, deleted the word that sounds like the beginning of a North London team’s name! ) .
And I’ll just take this rare occasion to be one of the first of us to wish you all solid luck for this game week. Hoping that my own chronic ‘red arrow situation’ can resolve itself this weekend!
Cheers one and all!
AJW 😉
I’m feeling green arrows for us all this week
Yeah – wouldn’t be lovely!
I’m sticking to this team. Good luck today all!
Was considering the Korean of Wolves but without Neto their goals might dry up even more. Plus AVL has great fixtures and I can transfer Luiz out if needed.
I’ve got same keepers. Went Turner at Home
Good luck everyone!!
Fulham v Man Utd
Today is the day GGMU
Got Maguire as the punt of the week.
Time for Man U big comeback
That is some punt. If they hold a cs, genius move.
Wow no Rashford?
Erik’s punishment that is
He wasn’t deemed mach fit, I’d guess its a once off.
I’d almost bring him in next week, he’ll be down to 8.5 and has Luton at home
Gotta feel for ETH and the material he has to work with. In this forsaken team I only rate Bruno. Lmao.
Could be worse though. Ajax is at a much worse state in the Netherlands.
He’s spent somewhere in the region of £400m since arriving at United. He doesn’t deserve any sympathy!!!
He doesn’t. You should never let Dutch managers spend. Haha.. Just give them talented players like he had at Ajax.
And fpliw actually just about spending. So bad place for any Dutch manager.
What’s gone wrong at Ajax Raz? It was only last weekend I realised they were bottom of the table!!
I am surprised both eth and poch arent fired. It surely a question of when and not if they get fired.
No idea whats going on with ajax. Maybe the dutch league has become very strong
Ajax is a sinking ship. Think they sold too many players and didn’t get anything good in return. They had a German technical director and he sort bought players of a befriended players agent and put money in his pocket. They bought shitty players. Their downfall is to their own greed. Also don’t get why you would get a German technical director.
He has Onana, Eriksen and Antony, spine of the team is Ajax
Antony is stealing a living
Yeah, not really. They were good enough as talented players for Ajax, yes. But they weren’t the best. Onana was a cheat. Eriksen did do well at the end of his career. As did Tadic. But when he had them back then they were all talented players. Spine of that team were Matthijs de Ligt (plays at Bayern) and Frenkie de Jong (plays at Barcelona).
But Dutch managers and bondscoaches are stupid when it comes to players they worked with before. They tend to take them with them to their new clubs and also when bondscoach for internatinal duty. Look at Daley Blind, he isn’t teh worlds worst player but till last year every manager played him while we had much better options.
Van Gaal picked some bad players he used to work with and let them join United, Erik took two overrated players and also played way too much for them (Onana) and the dude with the zits, actually forgot his name. Antony. Yes. and vdBeek who never did anything after Ajax.
But the receipe back then was that it were all talented players, most of them failed abroad, but you do know most names:
Onana
Tagliafico-DeLigt-Blind-Mazraoui
F.DeJong-Schone
Neres-vdBeek-Ziyech
Tadic
That was the good team in 2019. Few old timers like Schone and Tadic. Combined with some talented players. Most delivered above their usual. Same players now in a different environment and a different time of their career just can’t show it. Only ones I really rate from that old team are de Ligt, de Jong, Mazraoui (also Bayern I think).
Spare a thought for all who picked Rashford as FGS in H&L
Come in Hojlund.
