FPL Live Match Chat Gameweek 11
Sky are having a ‘mare…
We begin with an early deadline this week as Villa go to Saints in what can only be described as an odd choice by Sky to bother pulling it forward to Friday night and then actually screening it.
Saturday kicks off with the game that should be on at 4.30pm on Sunday (the Manchester v Salford derby).
We often mention Jeff Stelling on here when it comes to the Saturday 3pm games and with good reason because he is a legendary presenter and his show has been one of the best inventions since the PL (football) began. He has also been poorly treated by Sky since this whole pandemic thing began. Initially shorn of any games to actually present they then decided to strip him of all his ‘mates’. The very people who made the show what it was. And he’s finally had enough…
Unbelievable, Jeff. @JeffStelling to leave Sky Sports at end of the season after 30 years. Effortless and deeply knowledgeable presenter. Great chemistry on Soccer Saturday with guests, reporters, pundits, players and managers. Good luck to whoever follows Stelling. pic.twitter.com/wEjfcjX6Bw

Hopefully there is a grand plan for him and his team and he will pop up presenting the old format on a new platform next season.
This week he has been left with Brentford v Norwich, Chelsea v Burnley and Palace v Wolves.
BT were clearly at the same drinks party as Sky when they all selected this week’s games as they are showing Brighton v Newcastle in the 5.30pm game. *shakes head*
Sunday 2pm seems to be the new Saturday 3pm as we have 3 games at once with Arsenal hosting Watford (on Sky… no words left), Spurs going to Everton (just slightly more interest in that one all things considered, Sky people?!), and Leeds v Leicester (even that looks entertaining on paper, Arsenal / Watford certainly doesn’t!!!).
To be fair to them all West Ham v Liverpool at prime-time 4.30pm does sound tasty, albeit it is probably Saturday night tasty, with pizza, with said Manc derby in this slot.
And that’s where it ends for a couple of weeks as we now go into yet another international break. Stay tuned on FF247 though as we shall be trialing a few new articles during the break.
The games in full…

Anyone watch the Spurs game? How did Son, Kane, and Reguilon look?
Don’t know if Havertz >> Son and possibly Vardy >> Kane are still the moves to make, feel like perhaps I should prioritise getting TAA
Didn’t watch it but apparently they were useless.
That said, I am going with the planned move and ditching Vardy for Kane. A comeback is on the cards.
Yes I see they had 0 shots on target, but I expect them to improve after Conte gets more training sessions with them.
What’s your thoughts on this plan?
GW12: Havertz >> Son
GW13: Raphinha >> ESR
GW14: Vardy >> Kane
GW15: possibly Toney >> Hwang if I need to raise some change
GW16: Kane >> Ronaldo
This is an impressive sequence. Just questions: but why move Raphinha in gw13, at least as long as Bamford is out; and how about going for Kane earlier-Kane and Son have come as a pair for the last year+.
Havertz to ESR is the move I would play but for the inconvenient fact of Arsenal’s next game.
Spurs do seem a bit wait and see but have the fixtures to play themselves into some form. I am thinking of Kane myself (for Vardy) but am half-hoping he gets yellow flagged before the next GW so that that temptation, if you can call it that, is removed.
I watched it. I thought they were pretty bad. I have Son and Reguilon on my watchlist but I might hold off, as it seems Conte will probably need a bit more time to make something out of that Spurs team. Those fixtures are tempting though…
Fixtures are extremely tempting, almost brought in Son for a hit this GW but held off. Still looking at bringing him in tho, lol.
After watching the whole game I will Conte some time to sort them out. They were awful.
Somewhat tempted by Vardy to Ronnie. What do you guys think?
I would do that move in GW 14-15, after Vardy faces Watford at home and United’s fixtures turn good
Yeah I don’t mind this move
Early transfer thoughts. Assuming Brighton sticks with Steele I’m thinking Gray>ESR and my other FT after the IB.
That Harvey Barnes goal
Hmm. Ended the gameweek with 74 points. In the top 90k now. After hanging around the 500k… that sounds pretty good. 😉
Have two ft’s…. One part of me doesn’t want to lose money on freaking Azpi, but the other part tells me to be calm and don’t do an early transfer. LOL.
Right now I have the money to do Vardy to Kane and Azpi to James.
Are you in danger of being priced out?
Yah, at some point. Azpi goes down I still have 0.1m to do the transfer. Azpi goes down and james goes up 0.0… and so on. 😉
Well done Raz – congratulations on the steady move into the top tier!
Go for it!
I have a couple of passengers in my team.
Looking at Mount & St Max
I have 1.3m In bank
2 trades this week (WC if needed)
Looking for a plan to spend money and trades.
I’d consider keeping St max and give hima chance over next few games which are quite favourable fixtures. Also might get new manager bounce with Howe.
Mount to gallagher perhaps. Decent fixtures and form. Gives money for upgrade to a premium too.
Cheers. StMax is cheap, guess can’t expect too much
Mount to Gallagher then gives me 2.9 to spend
I mean 2.8 in bank
Mount to Gallagher and Vardy to Kane?
What about Lukaku? Will he be back soon?
Yeah I think Lukaku might be back for the next match. I might bring him back for Vardy myself
