FPL Live Match Chat Gameweek 11
Sky are having a ‘mare…
We begin with an early deadline this week as Villa go to Saints in what can only be described as an odd choice by Sky to bother pulling it forward to Friday night and then actually screening it.
Saturday kicks off with the game that should be on at 4.30pm on Sunday (the Manchester v Salford derby).
We often mention Jeff Stelling on here when it comes to the Saturday 3pm games and with good reason because he is a legendary presenter and his show has been one of the best inventions since the PL (football) began. He has also been poorly treated by Sky since this whole pandemic thing began. Initially shorn of any games to actually present they then decided to strip him of all his ‘mates’. The very people who made the show what it was. And he’s finally had enough…
Unbelievable, Jeff. @JeffStelling to leave Sky Sports at end of the season after 30 years. Effortless and deeply knowledgeable presenter. Great chemistry on Soccer Saturday with guests, reporters, pundits, players and managers. Good luck to whoever follows Stelling. pic.twitter.com/wEjfcjX6Bw

Hopefully there is a grand plan for him and his team and he will pop up presenting the old format on a new platform next season.
This week he has been left with Brentford v Norwich, Chelsea v Burnley and Palace v Wolves.
BT were clearly at the same drinks party as Sky when they all selected this week’s games as they are showing Brighton v Newcastle in the 5.30pm game. *shakes head*
Sunday 2pm seems to be the new Saturday 3pm as we have 3 games at once with Arsenal hosting Watford (on Sky… no words left), Spurs going to Everton (just slightly more interest in that one all things considered, Sky people?!), and Leeds v Leicester (even that looks entertaining on paper, Arsenal / Watford certainly doesn’t!!!).
To be fair to them all West Ham v Liverpool at prime-time 4.30pm does sound tasty, albeit it is probably Saturday night tasty, with pizza, with said Manc derby in this slot.
And that’s where it ends for a couple of weeks as we now go into yet another international break. Stay tuned on FF247 though as we shall be trialing a few new articles during the break.
The games in full…

Livra CS. Cool.
Very happy with this
a rare good start for me all season. Got in McCarthy for Schmeichel for a hit 2 weeks ago as I just couldnt keep schmeichel anymore & starting to pay off now. 9 pt haul.
Sweet!
The question is, is there anyone who hasn’t got him?
All on a par atm
i guess many or maybe half have benched livra
Shame, didn’t get into the baps selection this time.
Good luck everyone.I knowitslate, but what theheck Always pays to be polite
Hmm, spacebar on the old phone seems to be a bit ‘iffie’! Cheerio people!
Dam Livramento. Off to a flyer with him on the bench
Don’t worry Smash. Me too, but he was one sacrifice I was willing to make. It’s only 6 pts. Surely one of the others scores 7 or more! The pint glass is always 3/4 full with me! GW hasn’t started for us yet – go City!!!
I’ve just seen your backline – that’s heavy duty stuff mate! Go hard!
Yeah i have too many points on bench I think I need to downgrade somewhere
Seriously I reckon it’s good to have such a bench – just in case. And just remember that coming into December there are loads of team changes and injuries/illness. So I think you’re actually in an enviable situation…and one day if you want to BB, then you’re actually set up for it. Cheers mate – good luck against Burnley!
Come on :-DUtd.
You mean Dundee United? They’re up against Hearts today in the Scottish Premiership. But I jest, as I know you are talking about Manchester Utd – in the derby. Good luck, but ‘c’mon the light blues’!
Have a nice weekend Constantine – and congrats on your good performance in the tipping competition! 😉
Hahaha. Cheers AJW. Been drowning in liquor recently. All emotions “oozing” out. Would be great if Utd beat City today. Highly unlikely though.
Missed out on some predictions. Will try to hold on. Also missed the whole Worldcup as well. Ashes on the cards soon. Cheers sir
The Windies have just left us a big total to try and chop down. Dunno if we are going to be able to be at our best for the Ashes (I say We, but any cricket team would be much better without me in their midst I can assure you! ) .
Manchester United v Manchester City
Well, with the time change it makes it easier to sleep a bit before watching footy. Good luck to all this weekend. Now to see which Manchester team takes the prize.
