Welcome to FPL Live Match Chat Gameweek 12

With the top two sitting this one out we have just the 9 midweek fixtures and it is spread of 3 days, beginning on Tuesday with Brighton and Forest at 7.30pm, followed by Palace and Wolves at 8.15.

Yes, it’s one of those Amazon midweek’s with the games staggered so that we can watch the 1st half of one and the latter bit of another. It’s a good idea, in theory, except it simply reminds of Covid days!

Wednesday does the heavy lifting with 5 games; Bournemouth v Saints, Chelsea making the short trip to Brentford for the Andy Jacobs derby, Liverpool welcome Moyes back to Merseyside, Everton go to ‘1980’s Newcastle’, and Man Utd and Spurs see us out in the later game at 8.15.

Two left on Thursday then, again split with Fulham and Villa in the 7.30pm slot and Leicester and Leeds in the later one.

  2. Oh well, nothing from Salah (C) but at least as non owner of Kane or Son, not much damage done.
    Not being biased but seriously considering Man United players with the WC, the upcoming fixtures are great.

    • Looked like a pretty poor night of football all round. Glad I missed it.

      Went to the RL World Cup instead!

      The Cook Island band and their family were a sight to behold and cherish!

    • I brought Dalot last GW. Has been good. Considering Anthony in the future but my midfield is packed.

      • If Ronaldo spends more time on the bench we might see the return of Bruno’s glory days.

        • Think Ronaldo will be transferred to MLS or Chinese League by January. Looks like his glory days are coming to an end. Atleast he has the World cup to play.

  4. Think I’m going to take a hit. I hate having money on the bench so think these are my options.

    I’m not sure what mine is
    A) Jesus and Foden for Solanke and Trossard
    B) TAA and Saka in for Toti and Trossard
    C) Saka and Foden for Zaha and Trossard
    D) Saka, Foden and Jesus (-8) for Zaha, Solanke and Trossard
    E) Darwin and Saka in for Solanke and Trossard

    Ditched Kane for Jesus.
    Will keep Salah for the weekend fixture – even though he wasnt great last night.
    Still have 3.4m ITB.
    Where can I spend it.

    • Third Arsenal in midfield – I’d prefer Martinelli or Saka to Gordon. If you don’t want to triple, you could look at Mount as well.

      Kepa would be in on my WC as well I think.

        Would Almiron for Murphy be any good?
        Kepa instead of Raya?

        • Haven’t been paying much attention to Newcastle (except Tripps) in all honesty but Almiron looks secure doesn’t he?

          I’m having second thoughts on Kepa over Raya now looking at the next four games. Keep forgetting how close we are to the WC. You may be right with Raya actually.

        • GP, ok Almiron and Martinelli in. Raya stays.
          Thinking I may bench Almiron this week, and Justin and Tarks.
          Have upgraded White to Saliba.

    • Hammerfan, you do know that Jesus is on 4 YC?
      As I am also gonna play the WC, wonder is it worth the risk. Maybe Martinelli for Arsenal attack would suffice unknw

        I remember he was on 4 yellows for weeks and kept on scoring!

      • Ivan – Nope, didnt know that. Who else, as I have dispersed the cash I had left.
        I can re-jig for Kane…lol, but would have to lose someone to get Martinelli in, and wouldnt have Almiron. That would only happen if Salah didnt perform at the weekend.

        • For now I am hovering around Kane or possibly Darwin. But I am at a very early stage and serious thinking starting tonight after work gamer

        • If I go back to Kane, I would have to drop Saliba->White, Almiron and lose Mitrovic to do that.

          Is it worth it

        • Well, Saliba is another one on 4 YC.
          There are quite a few, including Toney.
