If rotation didn’t bite you too hard in midweek then it may do this weekend, but as we mentioned in the GW14 edition of this particular article, which nobody ever bothers to read anyway (if you do, say ‘xG is King’ in the comments), this is just a taster of what is to come in the weeks ahead. And perhaps a little reminder of why having a squad as fat as your turkey may be wise over Christmas.
We have 5 games on Saturday and West Ham welcome Chelsea in the early one at 12.30pm. At 3pm Burnley go to Newcastle to see how the other half live (same as them as it turns out), Saints and Brighton have a bit of a derby, and Wolves try to keep the score down against Liverpool. Watford then try (lol) to outscore Man City at the Vicarage in the late one at 5.30pm.
2pm on Sunday is fast becoming the new 3pm on Saturday as we have 3 games again (all seemingly untelevised) as Leeds host Brentford, Palace go to Man Utd and Spurs get angry against Norwich. No idea why they get angry, it just feels like they may have to.
The late one on Sunday sees Stevie G, of Liverpool fame, possibly giving Brendan, of nearly Liverpool fame, some slippery nightmares.
Everton and Arsenal bore us to death see us out on Monday at 8pm.

trusting the premium forwards.. lukaku (earlier) ronaldo (in and out) and kane (recently) has done nothing but damaged my rank.
though kane is poor now but had 3 easy fixtures in a row , other 2 are world class forwards so surprising their output is so low (even before lukaku injury).
salah meanwhile has reached another level or 2 while at the same time Mane for some reason has gone down 2 levels. They both were almost dead even till this season with the only advantage salah offered extra was penalties. That is not the case this season though with Mane doing very little in terms of fpl.
What all this means u cant really climb rank by captaining Salah and wolves away was never gonna be easy and salah almost blanked but at same time other premiums are very irregular so taking a punt and getting it right is proving to be very difficult. If u get it right once, rank can climb very high though. This week Son and B Silva were the ones to captain but who knows next week?
the premium forwards have been a disappointment for sure, I’ve been burnt by Lukaku earlier too.
And post that, I just decide to invest elsewhere and have cheap forwards like Armstrong & Toney. Given the big names have blanked & these guys did ok, I’m glad I did what I did.
I’m tempted to get Ronaldo soon, maybe even this GW if possible. You were unlucky with capping him this GW, there’s definitely an argument to captain him against Norwich. Especially given Villa look alright under Gerrard

Oh, getting rid of that muppet is a priority. I’m just not sure if it’s worth a WC!
If I want Ronaldo as my Kane replacement a -4 will do the trick. However, if I decide that I don’t want a premium forward, I’ll probably WC.
WCs can be fun, and you need to use it soon so it’s always an option
Seriously though, Kane is the only one I’d swap in that team Kop. Toney too if C-19 is confirmed and he’s out for 2+ weeks

I don’t think you need to wildcard that side. It’s quite an unstable time at the moment in terms of picking strikers, Covid is surging again and so on. I’d keep it in your back-pocket.
If I still had the wildcard (a statement which I know suggests some deeply dodgy reasoning to follow) I’d be half-inclined to use it later in the month to help get set up for January, e.g. life without Salah.
Kralin, as always, you’re the voice of sensibility. I think that’s what I really want to do.
I still have my WC – and will use it right at the last minute.
I have the Kane conundrum and not sure who to bring in, but I also have Jimi – two strikers I want to ditch.
That’s been my plan all along Hammers. But back to back crap gameweeks has given me an itchy finger!!

I always aim to use my WC right at the end, and prepare it for the January fixtures etc.
My team has had minor changes over the last few weeks, but now need to ditch Kane/Jimi.
Just have a feeling my WC wont need too many changes – although I know it will have Salah in it till he goes to AFCON..lol

Hmm downgrade Kane to a preferred striker and next week upgrade Mbeumo? Or you could rolland do the same next week with two FTs at hand.

I’d let the dust settle on the European fixtures before jumping in.
In addition, this GW isn’t over yet. You could lose your goalkeeper.
You’ll avoid misfortune by sitting quietly in a room.

Kralin’s right. I’m looking at exactly the same moves, but i will wait to see where we are Friday. Does Ronaldo play in midweek-possibly not, as United is through-but CL is CR7’s showcase. You know Kane plays, because Spurs have no backup. And Bilva? And bless Pep-do you really trust him?
