FPL Live Match Chat Gameweek 15
Welcome to FPL Live Match Chat Gameweek 15
If rotation didn’t bite you too hard in midweek then it may do this weekend, but as we mentioned in the GW14 edition of this particular article, which nobody ever bothers to read anyway (if you do, say ‘xG is King’ in the comments), this is just a taster of what is to come in the weeks ahead. And perhaps a little reminder of why having a squad as fat as your turkey may be wise over Christmas.
We have 5 games on Saturday and West Ham welcome Chelsea in the early one at 12.30pm. At 3pm Burnley go to Newcastle to see how the other half live (same as them as it turns out), Saints and Brighton have a bit of a derby, and Wolves try to keep the score down against Liverpool. Watford then try (lol) to outscore Man City at the Vicarage in the late one at 5.30pm.
2pm on Sunday is fast becoming the new 3pm on Saturday as we have 3 games again (all seemingly untelevised) as Leeds host Brentford, Palace go to Man Utd and Spurs get angry against Norwich. No idea why they get angry, it just feels like they may have to.
The late one on Sunday sees Stevie G, of Liverpool fame, possibly giving Brendan, of nearly Liverpool fame, some slippery nightmares.
Everton and Arsenal bore us to death see us out on Monday at 8pm.
The games in full…

Covid outbreak at Spurs…no word on how many infected, or who has it.
Oh boy, not this again…
First of many I’d imagine. Unless there’s a lockdown – something probably about -3 people want – then it’s very soon going to be out of control again, not that it’s been fully under control here.
The UK is boosting pretty well, however, so we’re in a tight race between that and the rapid growth of the new variant. Hopefully the boosters will lead to less premature deaths. They won’t however stop people catching Covid.
So I’d be surprised if there weren’t one or two match postponements / teams severely depleted over the next couple of months. Managers need to make sure they have a playing bench and perhaps shouldn’t weigh their sides down with players from the same side. I’m not going to overthink that one too much.
Well I’m on a -4 already
Same here
Same and on the verge of a -8…. And I haven’t taken a hit all season
This is not good
“Tottenham Hotspur could now ask for their Premier League trip to Brighton on Sunday to be postponed.”
@TeleFootball
They’re building up a heck of a backlog.
Possible DDGW on the cards
Apparently affected players are Son, Lucas, Davies, Royal, Gil and Romero
Always had my doubts about Contes personal hygiene. And now it’s confirmed…
Glad he’s fine. Need him on the touchline. Covers quite a fair bit of distance on field each game
Alonso looks to be fine as expected
One less headache
Kovacic tested positive for covid.
Where did all the 4pt hits come from?
Injuries, fixture swings, and now the Covid threat.
I did Son, Toney, Alonso to Ronaldo, James, Brownhill for -4
On WC…do I take both Son and Reguillon out of my team for now? Not sure how long they will be out for.
Probably. Son if positive must be missing the next two. Game at weekend sounds like a major doubt of going ahead
Out for now but have a plan to bring them in. If the weekend game is cancelled, that’s two DGW to be planned sometime
They won’t be for a number of weeks. Not till the new year at least so worry about them then. There’s no point holding on to them especially on a WC. It’s not like Spurs are even playing that well
I would probably leave them in (son atleast), hope for the best and fix the bench so it can handle it…
