FPL Live Match Chat Gameweek 16
Welcome to FPL Live Match Chat Gameweek 16
One week and one day out from the World Cup and we round out the first ‘half’ of this odd FPL season with matches across Saturday and Sunday.
First up Manchester City in the first kick off, at home, against a west London side, who plays/who’s benched …
*cold sweat*
Brentford come to East Manchester for a 12.30pm kick off. Deadline is 11am UK time.
We have five 3pm matches to entertain us. Bournemouth play host to Everton, Liverpool have Hasenhuttl-less Southampton at Anfield. Forest play Palace by the Trent, Spurs take on Leeds and across London it is West Ham United versus rejuvenated Leicester City.
Match of the weekend – Newcastle v Chelsea at St James’s is at 5.30pm.
Sunday starts on the South Coast as De Zerbi battles Emery in the newby-manager game as Brighton welcome Aston Villa to the Amex. Lastly (and when this one kicks off we will be less than 7 days from World Cup kick off time), Fulham v Manchester United will be the last Premier League – and FPL – ball kicked this side of Christmas.

Just to quote the old boy, my team tails off the 1st part of the season, ‘not with a bang, but a whimper.’
Got in Almiron, as I thought all the consensus over Darwin was one way thinking. Stupid me! All out for 45 with Estupinan’s humble offering to finish off proceedings! Going into hibernation now. See you all round! 😉
Agree with you. Time for a long FPL break now and think about WC for one whole month!
Time to relaxxxx and enjoy the WC!
Have a great break folks!
Many will probably do the worldcup thing. I won’t, I think. 😉
Oi. So I’m top 100k again and 4th in regulars league.
The rest of the FPL season-time for a rethink? Two or three premiums? The prevailing wisdom at the start of the season was two, rather than three, premiums. One thing I’ve noticed since then is the increasing success of three premiums. I think three premiums has become more appealing because FPL has lowered the prices on the marginal players three premiums requires. The ‘marginals’-4.5 defeners, and some midfielders-are getting 90 minutes and decent points. What do folks think?
Have been toying with the same idea. Also working out some drafts including one for a nice little threemium that doesn’t look too shabby! More on this at a later date! 😉
