And then there were 9…
It’s not the first time and it almost certainly won’t be the last but at least we had some advance notice and so we could all react accordingly, rather than simply being left to check if you got that bench order correct. We wish those Spurs boys the best and a full recovery.
As for who is left we begin on Friday with the solitary game which is Watford making the short trip to Brentford.
Man City and Wolves get us going on Saturday in the early game before Arsenal welcome Saints, Chelsea and Leeds revive the 70’s and Stevie G slips into Anfield, all at 3pm. Norwich and Man United see Saturday out in the late one.
West Ham go to Burnley and Leicester welcome Newcastle at 2pm on Sunday before Palace and Everton bring us to an abrupt (and probably fairly fantasy free halt) at 4.30pm.
It is worth noting at this point that GW17 is in midweek following this one and the DEADLINE IS ON TUESDAY AT 6PM.

Re Covid there are currently rumours – not sure if anything is official yet – re Man Utd and Villa.
Early transfers very risky at the moment.

Agreed regarding early transfers. If United game is impacted then I am missing 2 of my starting 11 and still no Toney back

Antonio. He has been playing effectively, if not for FPL, and he has a good run of fixtures through the holiday season. Keep him? There don’t seem any convincing substitutes at his price level (I’ve got Watford covered). Perhaps wait for DCL?

Guys would you do the following for a hit: foden and Tierney in for Raphinha and alonso?

Nope. Foden is a nice idea but realistically he’s going to get what, maybe every other game over Christmas? Tierney likewise does have competition for his spot so again whilst he’s their best LB he’ll probably sit the odd game.

Knocked out of the cup already. Was sitting pretty going into today, but opponent had Gallagher and Maddison left to play so got smashed!

I must admit I didn’t even realise it had started. No idea if I had even qualified. It’s based on last weeks rank still I presume? In which case I probably did. Logged into the FF247 team now so I’ll check later. They qualified and won their tie anyway.
The cup always reminds me of Waxy’s blabbering on for about a week telling us all how he must be a far superior FPL manager than whoever ran the Site Team because he’d managed to qualify for the cup and that team hadn’t. He was ranked about 4 million overall and the Site Team was in the top 10k….

Like Innit, I hadn’t know it had started so was plesantly surprised to see I’d quelled my opponent.
Crashing out to a ghost team (who only has 4 active players) is generally the way I usually leave the competition.

Not the worst moves – you could get some serious short term gratification out of Jota, given the opposition, plus he’s a very sound long-term pick.
Bilva a good move too.
I’d wait until Tuesday though.
