Welcome to FPL Live Match Chat Gameweek 17
It’s a quick turnaround this week with a midweek fixture fest to get us right in the mood for Christmas and the chaos ahead. This one spans three days from Tuesday to Thursday and then we begin again on Saturday.
Tuesday itself sees three games, all spread out slightly. with Brentford welcoming Ralf and his new spangled clean sheets at 7.30pm, Villa going to Norwich at 7-47pm before Pep and Bielsa have their usual cuddle at 8.
Wednesday looks relatively uninteresting, if we are being brutally honest, with Brighton v Wolves, Burnley v Watford and Palace v Saints all at 7.30pm. Just say you are washing your hair or something instead. Arsenal v West Ham should be a bit more lively at 8pm. It’d have to try hard not to be.
Thursday looks tastier with Leicester (maybe) hosting Spurs at 7.30pm, Everton going to
Chelsea at 7.45pm and Liverpool reminding Eddie that he isn’t allowed any trees this Christmas at 8pm.

Ooops, yeah…. 1.30pm is correct. I got the countdown bit right anyway! No doubt it’ll change anyway so I don’t really know why I’m bothering.

They sent this out last night so I’m assuming it’s full steam ahead. And it sounds cooler than the gig itself, I’m sorely tempted. Except that partying until 3am feels a bit 20 years ago for me now!

Captaining TAA over Salah paid off
Any advice here? Only have 8 players for next GW, I’m thinking Gallagher to Mount and Ronaldo to Watkins? However I’m not sure about selling Ronaldo for a -4 with the fixtures he has coming up, how about changing my keeper to Ramsdale or someone else?
Ordinary comments are almost irrelevant because they’re assuming it’s business as normal. You know that three (I think) Liverpool players have already tested positive? I would wait for as long as possible and say a few prayers. Hopefully we’ll get a free wildcard once things have settled down.
Two terrible GWs……..I should have sold Ronaldo. Now the same dilemma is back whether to hold him or spread the fund. Considering my team, looks like take a hit and spread the fund, but who knows which match will be postponed

Starting the day with 14(+3), my last four players brought me up to 56. Ok so everybody has them but it’s still quite a comeback
heroic. Who cares about the ownership and all that. Just thank our lucky stars Liverpool played at all. Another day and there would probably have been more cases (which may well do for their GW18 match).
