Welcome to FPL Live Match Chat Gameweek 17
It’s a quick turnaround this week with a midweek fixture fest to get us right in the mood for Christmas and the chaos ahead. This one spans three days from Tuesday to Thursday and then we begin again on Saturday.
Tuesday itself sees three games, all spread out slightly. with Brentford welcoming Ralf and his new spangled clean sheets at 7.30pm, Villa going to Norwich at 7-47pm before Pep and Bielsa have their usual cuddle at 8.
Wednesday looks relatively uninteresting, if we are being brutally honest, with Brighton v Wolves, Burnley v Watford and Palace v Saints all at 7.30pm. Just say you are washing your hair or something instead. Arsenal v West Ham should be a bit more lively at 8pm. It’d have to try hard not to be.
Thursday looks tastier with Leicester (maybe) hosting Spurs at 7.30pm, Everton going to
Chelsea at 7.45pm and Liverpool reminding Eddie that he isn’t allowed any trees this Christmas at 8pm.

But if there is a possibility of the ManU-Brighton game maybe moving to midweek GW18, I will hold Ronnie just in case.
What other moves could I do to give me a few extra players?
(Btw, I intend on WC’ing before the deadline, so after GW19 starts)

Watkins and an Arsenal defender/ keeper?
Esr to bowen as a long term move completely backfired. Eliminated from the cup by 2 pts bcoz of this and now 1 have less player for the weekend.
Pretty much every move I’ve made the last few GW has backfired comically. It’s been a true diasaster. I could do with a couple of weeks off and a free wildcard to get back on track.
The cup is pretty irrelevant other than to provide a few more guffaws.
I went to trf in Watkins for Antonio only to miss the deadline
Hmm.. I took -12 hit over the last 2 gameweeks but they really paid off.
For this gameweek I got Jota and Watkins.
Last gameweek Dennis, Bilva, Ronaldo, Bowen. Think netto I’m 20 plus points better off.

I have but then I am still stuck if there are last minute postponements like this week. It is almost like there is no safe teams at this point in time.
No. I’m just trying to blend my team gradually to cover as many matches as possible. And I’m putting my VC on a player in the first match whoever it might be
No because games may be called off after the deadline.
Does anyone else, apart from me, pay attention to those weekly high scorers?

I know it’s quite early and I am not going to do any early moves but I have one question for you lot – what the heck am I supposed to do now?!
Any help is highly appreciated (1 FT, 1.4 M ITB, all chips available apart from WC#1)!

I’ll say a little prayer for you.
My prayer may note however that all of us have been mown down in the cup by ghost teams with 5 / 6 active players,; that some players wouldn’t score too many points anyway; that everyone’s in the same boat; errr; that’s it.
I will be busy tomorrow so will completely miss any news so am planning to make one FT this evening. I don’t see much point in taking a hit this week – I probably would if I were certain games would be going ahead.
Outfield – I will not do any transfer as such. You have the quality 7 and no point in adding quantity. If at all you want to make a transfer, you can sell Bowen and get an ARSENAL player (Saka/ESR). But Bowen has a very good fix (provided played).
Otherwise – GK transfer is one option if you can do Guaita to Ramsdale (long term move).
3rd option is roll FT. That keeps an opening for getting CR7 (if at all).
