Welcome to FPL Live Match Chat Gameweek 17
It’s a quick turnaround this week with a midweek fixture fest to get us right in the mood for Christmas and the chaos ahead. This one spans three days from Tuesday to Thursday and then we begin again on Saturday.
Tuesday itself sees three games, all spread out slightly. with Brentford welcoming Ralf and his new spangled clean sheets at 7.30pm, Villa going to Norwich at 7-47pm before Pep and Bielsa have their usual cuddle at 8.
Wednesday looks relatively uninteresting, if we are being brutally honest, with Brighton v Wolves, Burnley v Watford and Palace v Saints all at 7.30pm. Just say you are washing your hair or something instead. Arsenal v West Ham should be a bit more lively at 8pm. It’d have to try hard not to be.
Thursday looks tastier with Leicester (maybe) hosting Spurs at 7.30pm, Everton going to
Chelsea at 7.45pm and Liverpool reminding Eddie that he isn’t allowed any trees this Christmas at 8pm.

Not quite sure what to do here. 1ft and ,1.3m itb. Foden is my priority I think, will wait to see what pep says about Silva if he’s out then it’s a straight swap. If not then maybe Bowen to foden bought would need to find another 0.2m but not sure where apart from downgrading king maybe. Any thoughts?
I think Bowen to ESR and if pep confirms Bernardo you can make a call on the Foden move

Any advice here? I only have 8 playing due to games being canceled, is it worth taking a hit to replace them since we have no idea which games will go ahead in the next few GWs?
I’m thinking I could either just use my FT to get Ramsdale for Sanchez, which would give me 9 players, or I could take a -8 to swap Ronaldo Gallagher and Sanchez for Watkins Mount and a premium keeper. I believe those 3 could easily get 8 points between them which would make up for the hit, but just hesitant about selling Ronaldo before his next two games
thats the dilemma. Ronaldos fixtures till gw27 plus the 2 postponed games are too good to ignore.
if we sold him, we should have done few days ago maybe.
on the other hand can sell him now and downgrade salah in a few gameweeks when he goes to Afcon (if it takes place) and get cr7 back.
Ronaldo to Watkins and Gallagher to Foden or Pukki to Lacazette. Basically Ronaldo is holding up too much cash to realistically obtain points with all the games getting called off

Thanks Smash. Do you think Foden or Lacazette are better picks than Mount? Mount has scored in 4 straight games.
Also I think I should use the 3rd transfer on a keeper so I can field 11

Was thinking about getting in just a DEF to replace Veltman (and maybe a GK – where I may just take the plunge for Rammers (Ramsdale) ) with someone good value like:
Ait-Nouri (4.3)/ Lowton (4.4) or Coady/White or someone else who has potential at 4.5m
But which one??? Liked the look of the 2 Wolves boys & have always liked Wee Lowton.
I’m starting to love my squad, but I want to love it even more! 2 changes would give me 10 players this week, so that’ll do. In GW 18 I got 73 (-4) without a playing keeper, so I feel unbeatable – much like Kralin did after the ESR Affair! (

i am considering similar to B but with Gallagher to Mount/ Jota.
But kind of feel like holding Ronaldo also bcoz I ll want him for upcoming 15 games.
I also have B Silva and with no further info will just hold and hope he plays.
There is that too. I will probably want Ronaldo back in a week or 2.

Nah not for me just get to 8 or 9
There’s probably no fear in selling Ronaldo now. His top score is 13 points. He’s so expensive at 12.5 with all the games getting called off you need a squad to navigate and to obtain enough points, yeah he could score when he eventually plays but how many points could you be down. Watkins granted not as good still managed 12 points one off Ronaldo’s top score last week. If you hold Ronaldo it’s very difficult to have much of a bench and can you afford to bench someone who is 12.5?
I posted about Ronaldo costing me too much for not playing somewhere in this thread. It really is too much!
Yeah I just don’t think it works under the current circumstances. If he was actually scoring 2 goals each match I could see it but he’s not . We need a bench currently
I benched Ronnie last week but had to move him this week. Lovely fixtures if he plays but too expensive currently
