Welcome to FPL Live Match Chat Gameweek 17
It’s a quick turnaround this week with a midweek fixture fest to get us right in the mood for Christmas and the chaos ahead. This one spans three days from Tuesday to Thursday and then we begin again on Saturday.
Tuesday itself sees three games, all spread out slightly. with Brentford welcoming Ralf and his new spangled clean sheets at 7.30pm, Villa going to Norwich at 7-47pm before Pep and Bielsa have their usual cuddle at 8.
Wednesday looks relatively uninteresting, if we are being brutally honest, with Brighton v Wolves, Burnley v Watford and Palace v Saints all at 7.30pm. Just say you are washing your hair or something instead. Arsenal v West Ham should be a bit more lively at 8pm. It’d have to try hard not to be.
Thursday looks tastier with Leicester (maybe) hosting Spurs at 7.30pm, Everton going to
Chelsea at 7.45pm and Liverpool reminding Eddie that he isn’t allowed any trees this Christmas at 8pm.

Mixed night. Pleased I brought in Watkins, but only 1 point from Bernardo Silva in a 7-0 win is frustrating
Good stuff.
I was torn between Watkins and Antonio and because I needed to transfer last night, and aware there was Covid around Villa, went for the latter. There will probably be an ironic postponement of the WHU game.
…And in this highly improbable (but quite possible given the current circumstances) case, maybe they’ll allow Antonio to run around alone on an empty pitch ( just to avoid a huge backlog of unplayed matches ), being fed decisive passes in the box from David Moyes or a ball-throwing machine? I mean Kralin, that if you’d been to school with Boris J, then this scenario may have been arranged for you! I don’t know how many Old Etonians there are on the board of the Fantasy Dept of the EPL, but surely…! Personally, after extensive research, I have been unable to find any alumni from my old Almer Mater, (and highly selective) the Gough Whitlam Memorial Bush High School, at Woop Woop Heights (in the ‘Back’o Bourke Educational district, Western NSW) – so no luck for me! Cheerio young K!

Yep, can’t see him in the starting lineup. Most likely replacing Jota in the second half.
Could be Salah or Mane both have played a lot recently. I don’t necessarily think Jota is a problem at this time even with Firmino back
…or Salah or Mane or one of the midfielders if Liverpool are chasing or Alisson if it’s 12-0…
