Welcome to FPL Live Match Chat Gameweek 17
It’s a quick turnaround this week with a midweek fixture fest to get us right in the mood for Christmas and the chaos ahead. This one spans three days from Tuesday to Thursday and then we begin again on Saturday.
Tuesday itself sees three games, all spread out slightly. with Brentford welcoming Ralf and his new spangled clean sheets at 7.30pm, Villa going to Norwich at 7-47pm before Pep and Bielsa have their usual cuddle at 8.
Wednesday looks relatively uninteresting, if we are being brutally honest, with Brighton v Wolves, Burnley v Watford and Palace v Saints all at 7.30pm. Just say you are washing your hair or something instead. Arsenal v West Ham should be a bit more lively at 8pm. It’d have to try hard not to be.
Thursday looks tastier with Leicester (maybe) hosting Spurs at 7.30pm, Everton going to
Chelsea at 7.45pm and Liverpool reminding Eddie that he isn’t allowed any trees this Christmas at 8pm.

covid outbreak at chelsea… I think that we are pretty close to the league being closed down…

Given the numbers (3) at Chelsea, it’s not yet considered an outbreak.
Still doubts that there will be any games this weekend….
I don’t think they’ll postpone the league. They’ll want to play whatever games can be played.

Annoyingly heading out of the cup this week because of postponements! This gameweek should be scrapped!
I’m getting well smashed in the cup 36-17 at the moment. My opponent has Digne, Mount and Havertz to play. I have Salah(c), Jota, TAA and James.

Otenio’s opponent is one of them annoying ghost teams, 0 transfers, TC Saka GW 1, Changed to Ings GW2 to this present GW, To rub salt into his wounds his opponent has 21pts coming off their bench!
Got back to 37-37 after 40 mins. A little happier now.
That got me curious, so I checked my cup progress. Apparently, my opponent is close to 7 M OR and decided to do everything in his power to beat me and took a -12 ph. He’s got triple Chelsea def, double NEWCASTLE attack, VVD and Salah (C) left to play. Gabriel coming off his bench as well lol. It’s actually hilarious that I could be knocked out by that dude, not that I care about the cup, but I find it funny how random it is.
Agreed. Actually they should reconsider the fairness of this thing under such circumstances.
May be they should award the whole 8 million managers a gift

With another ManU match postponed, who would you look to swap in for Ronaldo. I am currently considering Antonio but man my last run with him was so frustrating. His form was spot on the first few GWs but then it was nada! I don’t know if I should sit another week with CR7 on the bench, that’s a lot of cash but who to replace him? I suppose with the current state of covid it could be anyone and I still run the risk of not having a someone play. What are your thoughts folks on a Ronaldo replacement?
I replaced him with Ollie Watkins. Fairly happy after his haul against Norwich. Villa host Burnley in GW18.
