Welcome to FPL Live Match Chat Gameweek 17
It’s a quick turnaround this week with a midweek fixture fest to get us right in the mood for Christmas and the chaos ahead. This one spans three days from Tuesday to Thursday and then we begin again on Saturday.
Tuesday itself sees three games, all spread out slightly. with Brentford welcoming Ralf and his new spangled clean sheets at 7.30pm, Villa going to Norwich at 7-47pm before Pep and Bielsa have their usual cuddle at 8.
Wednesday looks relatively uninteresting, if we are being brutally honest, with Brighton v Wolves, Burnley v Watford and Palace v Saints all at 7.30pm. Just say you are washing your hair or something instead. Arsenal v West Ham should be a bit more lively at 8pm. It’d have to try hard not to be.
Thursday looks tastier with Leicester (maybe) hosting Spurs at 7.30pm, Everton going to
Chelsea at 7.45pm and Liverpool reminding Eddie that he isn’t allowed any trees this Christmas at 8pm.

But there’ll be a lot of sneaky ‘trying to get 7 on the park’ to get a leg up on the opposition, only to discover that the points hits were for maniacs who look for yellow cards like teenagers used to go after those ‘Pokemon Go’ things about 10 yrs ago!

Dunno what to do – probably concentrate on my Scottish game, but as GP said, the dreaded disease is also gaining ground up there! Sit tight and watch the tide roll out from under us!

Well I have 7 players that currently have fixtures, and I have 2 transfers, so I could have at least 10 outfield players this weekend..lol

Yes, I’ll have about 8 I think, but one never knows. Hey why don’t the clubs who’ve had games cancelled (and who remain Covid free) because the opposition has Covid cases, then play games against other teams in such a situation – in anticipation of the BGWs and DGWs coming up? You know what I mean? Turn up on the weekend and get a game against another team who’s been inconvenienced by Covid ridden opponents! Like a Saturday ‘Round Robin’ when we were youngsters (well, when I was a youngster it was like that – but I guess that was in the 70s and 80s – and it was Rugby League, not football, but same principle).
Maybe I write in a confusing manner? Hmm, maybe…
