GW1 went off sans drama, no last-minute cancellations, no Covid drop-outs, no ad-hoc midweek games, no nothing really. And GW2 begins roughly a week later. Dare we say we could almost be back to normality?*
*touches wood, wishes on a stray eyelash and looks for a four-leaf clover
As for GW2 itself, we begin with two GW1 losers as Villa welcomes Everton at 12:30 That’ll be a cracker…
If you are still awake at 3 pm, then there are actually some intriguing encounters to behold as Leicester goes to Arsenal. At least it is that way around or else seeing Arsenal’s players subjected to the Post Horn Gallop in training would have been almost reminiscent of a scene from Guantanamo Bay. And yes this is too good not to be a regular feature of LMC. Reference All or Nothing if you haven’t got a Scooby what we are on about. Reference Hanna-Barbera cartoons if you don’t know what a Scooby is and work your way backwards.
Anyway, enough rabbit holes… Brighton hosting Newcastle also looks tasty, from a purist’s POV anyway, whereas Man City vs Bournemouth looks scary. At least for the latter. Saints v Leeds should be good, as will be Wolves v Fulham before we have our first relegation six-pointer of the season as Man Utd go to Brentford in the later KO @ 5:30 pm.
Sunday begins at 2 pm with another pair of GW1 losers as Forest welcomes West Ham. The showcase game does look like a cracker at 4:30 as Chelsea and Spurs clash in the Antonio Conte Derby.
We then have our first Monday night game as Liverpool welcome Palace at 8 pm. Enjoy the game week everyone!

Son + Neto > Kulusevski + Luis Diaz
Kulu looks nailed for a couple GWs atleast on RW. Richarlison deployed on LW with Son. Diaz looks to be deployed up top with Mo in Darwin’s absence.
The moves seem ok?
I’m a little fearful about taking Son out but IF you do, getting in Kulusevski to *cough* cover him is as close as you can get to making it kinda OK.
Neto to Diaz is straighforward.
I don’t mind it BUT, you are taking out Son who can grab 2 or 3 in any game. Know that.

Like that move in a straight swap. In order that you don’t have to use Murphy as a 4.5 again, how about using the 0.5mln saved on Bowen to Diaz to do Jansson to Gabriel of Arsenal or Trippier of Newcastle who should offer you better chance of returns if you went 4-4-2?
Murphy to KDH or Solly March would also be far better in my opinion if you wanted the defence left as is.

Hi all. 2FT bit of a headache what to do. Guess my weakest area is GK and bailey. Thinking bailey to a 4.5 and Iverson to Sanchez? Happy to start with Williams this week Vs Everton. Another option is to downgrade mount which I’m not entirely happy with. I have 0 itb. Thoughts?

As it doesn’t look as if you are relying on Bailey anyway, I would change him to DaSilva perhaps. However, would you consider rolling the other FT and banking your 0.5mln and giving Ward Southampton at home?
This way you are saving money and you are still looking at a new goalkeeper next week with two moves and another week’s worth of info. The 4.5mlns you are likely looking at – Brighton, Brentford, Forest – are away from home this week and Meslier has Chelsea.

I am playing Ward this GW, I would say Bailey to DaSilva.
Currently sitting on this. Hit my transfer early and brought in dasilva before his rise. He has amazing fixtures. I would rather Jensen but can assess that next week. Pretty happy to roll a transfer again now. Thoughts? How am I looking? Two very good game week starts so far.

I think hold this GW then try and get Rodrigo in for Neto maybe Ramsdale to Raya or Sanchez.
Maybe play Williams instead of Neto.
