FPL Live Match Chat Gameweek 2
Welcome to FPL Live Match Chat Gameweek 2
GW1 went off sans drama, no last-minute cancellations, no Covid drop-outs, no ad-hoc midweek games, no nothing really. And GW2 begins roughly a week later. Dare we say we could almost be back to normality?*
*touches wood, wishes on a stray eyelash and looks for a four-leaf clover
As for GW2 itself, we begin with two GW1 losers as Villa welcomes Everton at 12:30 That’ll be a cracker…
If you are still awake at 3 pm, then there are actually some intriguing encounters to behold as Leicester goes to Arsenal. At least it is that way around or else seeing Arsenal’s players subjected to the Post Horn Gallop in training would have been almost reminiscent of a scene from Guantanamo Bay. And yes this is too good not to be a regular feature of LMC. Reference All or Nothing if you haven’t got a Scooby what we are on about. Reference Hanna-Barbera cartoons if you don’t know what a Scooby is and work your way backwards.
Anyway, enough rabbit holes… Brighton hosting Newcastle also looks tasty, from a purist’s POV anyway, whereas Man City vs Bournemouth looks scary. At least for the latter. Saints v Leeds should be good, as will be Wolves v Fulham before we have our first relegation six-pointer of the season as Man Utd go to Brentford in the later KO @ 5:30 pm.
Sunday begins at 2 pm with another pair of GW1 losers as Forest welcomes West Ham. The showcase game does look like a cracker at 4:30 as Chelsea and Spurs clash in the Antonio Conte Derby.
We then have our first Monday night game as Liverpool welcome Palace at 8 pm. Enjoy the game week everyone!
The games in full…

Fantasy Football 247 League Codes:
Both leagues will be shut to new entrants as of 01/01/23.
Did some early transfers and it backfired. (As always)
So the question is now: Would you take a hit and replace darwin, and in that case, replace him with who?
Or would you just play this team?
And I know, never do early transfer. Don’t tell me about it….
Will his price drop tonight affect any moves you were planning to make in the near future? If not, you can keep him on bench and sell this weekend.
Just realized he is 9.1 so you can take a 0.1 deduction in price. Offload later.
Will only get 9,0 if i sell him now so that’s not a problem. It’s just a matter of points…
I’d just play that team but maybe start Andreas over Dasilva
Good team.
Don’t take a 4ph to replace Darwin. Do the transfer for GW4 when you have more knowledge of who the go-to cheapo striker is likely to be .
Best replacement for Rashford here ?
Rodrigo
+1
Evening all,
What moves is everyone making this GW?
debating whether to move on either Bruno G or Mount?
What should I do?
I would say Mount has better fixtures and maybe more likely to assist or score, but he’s worth more thus you can do more with the money, maybe Mount to Maddison or Gundo and maybe Bruno to Rodrigo if you have 2FT’s
I will be getting Diaz this week but don’t know who to replace Nunez with with what money I have left, any ideas please x
Mitrovich or Toney.
Thank you x
Toney.
Strangely enough after two unsuccessful weeks and 3TF, I’ve come back close to one of my earliest drafts
Classic
Evening, felt the new season burst into life last week. With so many talking points & subplots. Currently carrying Bruno Guimaraes in the 5-6m rotation role. He’ll get the City game for me, before the bullet. But who are you eyeing up as the breakout budget midfielder……. Lingard, Harrison, Guedes…. I’m keeping a cheeky eye on Damsgard. Any watch list players you’d like to share?
Trossard looks very good already (as he usually does tbf). Rodrigo is good too.
Gundogan is handy and Zaha will always get you points.
