We struggled thru’ GW1 with a heavy heart, in Jeff’s absence. Simon proved himself a worthy successor though, so I reckon we will be ok after all. Albeit that even he looked a little bored in the 1st half with the lack of any action or goals, but we did warn him! Let’s go see if Sky have given him anything more interesting to preside over this week…
GW2 itself begins on Friday once more, this time with a tasty (?!) clash between Forest and Sheffield United. *checks what time Corrie is on
No early game on Saturday so straight to Simon and he’s drawn the short straw again here we are afraid … just the 3 games, those being Fulham v Brentford, Liverpool v Bournemouth and Wolves v Brighton. They really are easing him in aren’t they!
There are, oddly, 2 later games on Saturday this week as Spurs and Man Utd clash at 5.30pm, and then Newcastle fans will love trying to get back from Man City after an 8pm start…
Just the two again on Sunday with Everton going to Villa at 2pm and then West Ham ‘hosting’ Chelsea at 4.30pm.
Palace and Arsenal see us out on Monday at 8pm.

I have one playing defender this week
Have I been forced into a wildcard? I’m already losing ground in my MLs. I have big problems in defence, but really want to focus on bringing in assets such as Alvarez, Foden, Jackson etc. Would you wildcard this lot to sort things out before they get even worse?

Take out Gabriel for Akanji or Saliba. The MU boys will likely get something agains NF at home next week. Then you will have a better idea of what’s what.
I would hold off WC how many free transfers do you have?
I would just drop Stones and Gabreil.
I’ve got 2 FTs but really didn’t wanna burn them on sorting the defence. Especially given Chelsea and City’s fixtures.
Yes just get Estupinan and someone else for Stones and Gabriel.
Next GW ManU and Arsenal have easy fixture, you will have 5 good players from those two.

Get rid of Stones & Fernandez –> this week. Could get Estup and Mubemo
And then get Alverez for Mubama next week if you really want him.
IMO don’t get Jackson right now he is still trying to figure things out.
So Saka doesn’t take the pen, Tomiyasu gets sent off for NOT pulling the shirt and Gabriel comes on as the replacement!! Bugger!!
With Saka not taking penalties, Odegard becomes way more interesting. Direct swap in future wildcard.
Odegaard still too deep for me. But arsenal seem more focused on defending and getting wins than all out attack.

Glad I got rid of Gabriel before he joins the Saudi league, I have seen too many comments about this and it’s too much of a coincidence he’s not really playing for Arsenal.
