FPL Live Match Chat Gameweek 2
Welcome to FPL Live Match Chat Gameweek 2
We struggled thru’ GW1 with a heavy heart, in Jeff’s absence. Simon proved himself a worthy successor though, so I reckon we will be ok after all. Albeit that even he looked a little bored in the 1st half with the lack of any action or goals, but we did warn him! Let’s go see if Sky have given him anything more interesting to preside over this week…
GW2 itself begins on Friday once more, this time with a tasty (?!) clash between Forest and Sheffield United. *checks what time Corrie is on
No early game on Saturday so straight to Simon and he’s drawn the short straw again here we are afraid … just the 3 games, those being Fulham v Brentford, Liverpool v Bournemouth and Wolves v Brighton. They really are easing him in aren’t they!
There are, oddly, 2 later games on Saturday this week as Spurs and Man Utd clash at 5.30pm, and then Newcastle fans will love trying to get back from Man City after an 8pm start…
Just the two again on Sunday with Everton going to Villa at 2pm and then West Ham ‘hosting’ Chelsea at 4.30pm.
Palace and Arsenal see us out on Monday at 8pm.
The games in full

Wish I have Areola & Turner combo. Pickford not doing well.
Anyone else thinking about changing keeper.
Sterling had a really good first half. Anyway tempted 7.0m gw3 against Luton?
Anyone*
He’s been ace both games I think.
He always looks lively but doesn’t score. He is not creative and his finishing is poor. Loves to fall down at the wrong moment lol.
West Ham can’t cope with him.
Agree, he is very lively and hardworking. What is it helping us though? No points…last year not brilliant either. But maybe this will be his year. Early days still.
FPL-wise, no, I won’t be buying him.
He looked unplayable in the first half, but in typical Stirling style, totally disappeared in the second half when they needed him. Too unreliable.
Who should depart first, Rashford or Bruno? Thought Bruno looked the better of the two.
That’s a tough one, I would keep both as they play Forest next.
I only have Rashford myself and am not considering selling.
Thanks mate. One for me has to go.
Rashford will come good when he’s moved back out left to accommodate Hojlund.
I’d drop Bruno so that you have zero reasons to cheer for the poison faced cheating chinchilla.
Hojlund injury is worse than expected I think. Not sure when he ll start playing
I don’t know if it’s just a bad GW or my team is full of crap but I am on a verge to WC
I think it’s just a bad GW.
This is my lot.
Terminators, GW3 looks a bit more promising on paper. Maybe we should hold the horses and regroup after GW4 when is the first IB.
The international break is September 4-12.
I made these moves yesterday,
Gabriel > Wan Biss
Pedro > Van de Ven
2FT’s and £0 ITB
I am seriously considering benching Salah!
I think you’ll need to bench Chukwu and play Salah. He went off with a knee injury that didn’t look good.
And I think you mean Gab to VDV and Pedro to Wissa? You don’t appear to have Wan Bissaka
Don’t do that Ivan. We don’t know enough to WC yet. Maybe swap out Lewis (not going to be anything like regular) and Richarlison for maybe Mbeumo and you are good to go for now.
Watched the Chelsea game. Chilwell unlucky to be subbed off. Purely tactical and a dumb decision.
I don’t think Chilwell owners need to panic.
The problem with not having Salah is there is always benching headache bcoz of spread out funds. This week I benched martinelli and cash. The only player I am confident of benching is meyer of Burnley. Excluding Haaland, none of the premium or semi premium assets like rashford look essential at all. This season I think going to be if we get the timing right with all these mid priced performing assets.
And not benching the wrong guys
I have always gone for the min price players for my bench and they just need to be nailed players to come in for a GW or two, I hate having to drop a good twelfth player to the bench, I like you always get it wrong.
Luckily for me Martinelli stayed quiet. Considering selling him actually.
