FPL Live Match Chat Gameweek 2
Welcome to FPL Live Match Chat Gameweek 2
We struggled thru’ GW1 with a heavy heart, in Jeff’s absence. Simon proved himself a worthy successor though, so I reckon we will be ok after all. Albeit that even he looked a little bored in the 1st half with the lack of any action or goals, but we did warn him! Let’s go see if Sky have given him anything more interesting to preside over this week…
GW2 itself begins on Friday once more, this time with a tasty (?!) clash between Forest and Sheffield United. *checks what time Corrie is on
No early game on Saturday so straight to Simon and he’s drawn the short straw again here we are afraid … just the 3 games, those being Fulham v Brentford, Liverpool v Bournemouth and Wolves v Brighton. They really are easing him in aren’t they!
There are, oddly, 2 later games on Saturday this week as Spurs and Man Utd clash at 5.30pm, and then Newcastle fans will love trying to get back from Man City after an 8pm start…
Just the two again on Sunday with Everton going to Villa at 2pm and then West Ham ‘hosting’ Chelsea at 4.30pm.
Palace and Arsenal see us out on Monday at 8pm.
The games in full

What is wrong with Everton? Year in, year out, they never fail to disappoint.
Look at their starting 11 today and the fact Dcl went off after 30 odd minutes and all your answers are right there !!
Almost through the entire pre-season, I had a combination of Pickford, Tarkowski and DCL in the team, convinced that with full pre-season, an ‘easy’ starting run of games, they would be good differentials. Finally dropped the three in the week before GW1 tinkering, as Dyche said that DCL was still not ready. Looks lilke it is going to be another long season for Everton
DCL injury was because he got a smack in the face. Maybe a fractured cheek or something. Nothing that will keep him out for long and more importantly it’s not a leg injury.
The club is just so … fallible ( I don’t know how else to describe it). The owners seem to be happy just staying in the league. The coaches (except for some stints under Moyes) do not show any ambition. The players just use it as a showcase so that they can move on to better clubs, and by better I mean, Brentford, Brighton or even West Ham. They’re just so frustrating. I hope they are relegated this season, even if that is the jolt they need. What a cowardly club.
In the name of all that’s good and holy, what the (fu) hell has just happened.
Only player to score more than 2 points was Halland as captain, my star player Davies 4pts is on the bench. I’m still looking at the team thinking it looks good after the debacle. 9pts with 3 Arsenal players to go. My season gone already….oh woe is me.
Never mind Gabriel will snatch a hatrick assisted each time by Martinelli and things will look bright again.
On we go.
Hahaha I see the cup is definitely always half full!
In reply to post number 50 above!
Anyone been watching chelseas games? How’s Jackson been looking? Feels like there are some better options out the but they got Luton, forest and bournemouth coming up so this might be a bad time to sell him…
I think he’s looked lively. Lots of running. Pops up in a lot of places. Things just haven’t quite fallen for him yet. Looks like a player that will be great for them on a fast counter attack. Too early to say if he’s got the strikers instinct to be in the right place to score a lot of poachers goals. I’d definitely stick with him for the next few games.
gaberiel on the bench again!
Hope he stays there, as I’ve got Sarr 1st sub, though I’m not holding my breath.
Palace v Arsenal
