FPL Live Match Chat Gameweek 21
Welcome to FPL Live Match Chat Gameweek 21
Feels like the games are coming thick and fast now, in all manner of competitions, but this was always how it was going to be after a winter World Cup. And this is all before the CL gets back up and running in mid-Feb. After a couple of mini-DGW’s we do however have a normal GW in front of us, and then a small break again for both the FA and EFL Cups.
This one begins with a mid-table clash on Saturday lunchtime with Chelsea visiting Anfield.
We then have most of the relegation candidates featuring in four games at 3pm before Palace and Newcastle see Saturday out for us at 5.30pm.
Sunday is now the usual fare of two games at 2pm with Leeds hosting Brentford and Wolves going to Man City. The game of the week (in theory) is at 4.30pm between Arsenal and Man United, and it’s been a while since we’ve been able to say that about that particular fixture!
Fulham and Spurs bid farewell to GW21 on Monday evening at 8pm.
The games in full…

Those are some above par pics there Init, just look at his face standard.
That was the ideal week for Haaland TC
UCL is returning soon and with all FA Cup in the mix, doubt we’ll have a better chance…..
Hindsight hindsight hindsight …
The gameweek he had TWO GAMES before the UCL and FA Cup was the week surely?
GP, talking about hindsight. Why did I not listen to you the other day? Took a hit to bring in Toney who looks like will blank
You look at the reasons you made the call and not the call (at least you should try to).
I didn’t think Haaland looked particularly sharp on Thursday, City had obvious problems by going behind, and Wolves had improved defensively under Lopetegui so I reasoned Kane was a better captain pick. Might still be (unlikely) but at least, looking back, it wasn’t a complete wild pick.
Win some/lose some.
You are right, if we could predict who and when a player will do good would be great.
Don’t regret it so much as it was a replacement for Martial and needed to free up Man U space in order to bring in Bruno for a possible DGW22.
Yes, you’ve got a point there GP. In all logic, based on previous weeks’ performances you wouldn’t have picked a hattie today. In fact last week I thought I was smart in captaining Rashers, but when I saw the places gained (+ 250k) vs places lost by not captaining Haaland ( – 150 k spots), I thought that I had exceptionally got away with it and had better fall back in line this week and captain (but not TC) Haaland. Seems just the obvious insurance policy atm. Will wait a few GWs before TCing him (maybe 23 or 34 I guess?). Anyway, see yah!!! 😉
Arsenal v Man Utd
Looks like the record of 34 goals in one season will be destroyed….
Get the red and white ribbons ready …..
Looks like it. Would be well deserved if they keep this up.
How does Martinez get a bap after letting in 3 goals?
The BPS can me hard to follow for defenders. Pass % tackles made and he scored a goal.
