Welcome to FPL Live Match Chat Gameweek 21
Feels like the games are coming thick and fast now, in all manner of competitions, but this was always how it was going to be after a winter World Cup. And this is all before the CL gets back up and running in mid-Feb. After a couple of mini-DGW’s we do however have a normal GW in front of us, and then a small break again for both the FA and EFL Cups.
This one begins with a mid-table clash on Saturday lunchtime with Chelsea visiting Anfield.
We then have most of the relegation candidates featuring in four games at 3pm before Palace and Newcastle see Saturday out for us at 5.30pm.
Sunday is now the usual fare of two games at 2pm with Leeds hosting Brentford and Wolves going to Man City. The game of the week (in theory) is at 4.30pm between Arsenal and Man United, and it’s been a while since we’ve been able to say that about that particular fixture!
Fulham and Spurs bid farewell to GW21 on Monday evening at 8pm.

2 FTs. I’m thinking about the KdB to Bruno and then Patterson to someone playing a DGW in 22 or 23. Is a Leeds defender too much? Like Patterson to Struijk. I could take a big punt on Mitro to Weggy. Patterson to some Arsenal defense. What do you think folks?

Manu very likely to put 2 / 3 passed leeds. And Forest are playing better and have scored in there last 3, so a CS in either game is unlikely.

Know it’s early and that I should wait but I’ve got the exact money for 1 or 2 before tonight’s inevitable price changes
1 – Almiron & Cancelo > Fernandes & Estupiñan or Botman
2 – Rodrigo & Cancelo > Fernandes & Ake/Akanji
3 – Cancelo or James > a Man United defender
All would cost me -4pts as I’d wanna switch Man U defender out next week. Almiron/Newcastle not scoring and Cancelo not playing makes sense to get rid but are any Man City defender worthwhile? 1 would give me 4 dgw22’ers. Would then do Fernandes to Mahrez for 5 dgw23’ers

Just my luck: 1. I benched Kepa instead of Ward. 2. Transferred out Martial to either Nketiah or Toney. Chose Toney.

Exactly the same sad story with me. Kepa on the bench and Ward in, took a hit to bring in Toney while had the exact cash for Nketiah .
All those shenanigans cost me to drop from OR 297K to 350.50 K.
