Feels like the games are coming thick and fast now, in all manner of competitions, but this was always how it was going to be after a winter World Cup. And this is all before the CL gets back up and running in mid-Feb. After a couple of mini-DGW’s we do however have a normal GW in front of us, and then a small break again for both the FA and EFL Cups.
This one begins with a mid-table clash on Saturday lunchtime with Chelsea visiting Anfield.
We then have most of the relegation candidates featuring in four games at 3pm before Palace and Newcastle see Saturday out for us at 5.30pm.
Sunday is now the usual fare of two games at 2pm with Leeds hosting Brentford and Wolves going to Man City. The game of the week (in theory) is at 4.30pm between Arsenal and Man United, and it’s been a while since we’ve been able to say that about that particular fixture!
Fulham and Spurs bid farewell to GW21 on Monday evening at 8pm.

This is the first season that I fully see the negative impact of 4ph. Stupid right?
The rank drop is huge and only worth it for a near certainty.
That’s so true. I have been very disciplined with only 2 hits in 20 games.

It works sometimes especially with dgw on. Or atleast evens itself out. Last gw got mahrez for a hit and it definitely paid off.
I did a – 8for DGW 20, and just got away with it, scoring 3 points above what I would have done, and getting a small green arrow. I breathed a sigh of relief I can tell you! But I did obtain some players that I really wanted into the bargain, so that was quite nice.
Think I’m going to do a -4 for next GW, but will definitely be waiting until the last moment to carry out my trades! 😉

Whilst things are quiet on here, could I get a quick poll. Assuming Man United double next GW, would you TC:
A) Rashford
B) Bruno

Gear, as much as it’s tempting to go Rash or Bruno, I think many will leave the TC for Haaland in DGW23.
Ivan, I agree, they probably will. Personally, I don’t like the fixtures for that. I want to do something different as well. Need that differential and if that’s on a TC most aren’t going for, then all the better!
I am with you on that one. If United get the double I am very likely to consider the TC on one of them.
Rashford
Rashford between the 2. Good chance of 2 CS, and that can make a huge difference when hitting the TC.
The extra point per goal is nive too.
Rashford definitely. He is the form man. Brunos returns are bit unpredictable.
Yes, Rash is in his best form atm but having Bruno could be essential too.
For those with restricted budget, Casimiro is not a bad idea.
Could there potentially be other dgw’s?
I know gw26 is a possible dgw – even though we dont know what it might be.
Fixture wise, i think dgw22 looks better as a TC option than dgw 23 – its a tough one.
We need to monitor what involvement the players have.
Last night Rashford played 57 minutes and Bruno the full 90 vs Forest in the EFL. Next is Reading at home on Saturday (FA Cup) followed by Forest again, home on Wednesday (EFL). If the DGW happens, the first game will be three days later against Leeds at home. It doesn’t look that bad but……
Hey people I have a Cancelo sized problem and I can’t get rid of it. Have held for so long, just hoping and now he keeps dropping like a lead balloon. I want to wait until after GW22 to get rid of him yet I see he is due to lose more value again. I think I will just hold tight now.
AJW, City have DGW23but you are right to be concerned. He is a massive failure for this price tag, plus it seems not in Pep’s plans. You can replace him with another City one, which of course is a gamble, or just double on Newcastle or Arsenal defence who also play twice in 23. In any case, you will have spare dosh to spend elsewhere.

Would get rid if him asap. No longer first choice for unknown reasons.
Do you have thoughts on who you would bring in?
No not yet. Have worked out some moves where I can get Stones or other City defenders, or maybe Schar from Newcastle or one of the Chelsea boys when they’re back and have proven their fitness. I’ll keep an eye on Cancelo and his price fluctuations for the moment. Have already lost 0.3 on him!
This season value doesn’t matter. I would just be concerned over his benchings than his value
True Reggie, but the value aspect is squeezing me out of other moves. Just sold him last night for Schar, as one was due to go down and the other up, which would have created an extra 0.2m gap – too early I know, but if need be, then I can bench the Newcastle lad and then wheel him out in 2 GWs against….Bournemouth!
I feel a whole lot lighter (and have an extra 2m ITB!) now. My only early trade this GW, as I will now wait until after next Thursday’s final matches, before makin’ a decision.
