Welcome to FPL Live Match Chat Gameweek 21

Feels like the games are coming thick and fast now, in all manner of competitions, but this was always how it was going to be after a winter World Cup. And this is all before the CL gets back up and running in mid-Feb. After a couple of mini-DGW’s we do however have a normal GW in front of us, and then a small break again for both the FA and EFL Cups.

This one begins with a mid-table clash on Saturday lunchtime with Chelsea visiting Anfield.

We then have most of the relegation candidates featuring in four games at 3pm before Palace and Newcastle see Saturday out for us at 5.30pm.

Sunday is now the usual fare of two games at 2pm with Leeds hosting Brentford and Wolves going to Man City. The game of the week (in theory) is at 4.30pm between Arsenal and Man United, and it’s been a while since we’ve been able to say that about that particular fixture!

Fulham and Spurs bid farewell to GW21 on Monday evening at 8pm.

  1. Roll the free transfer this week?

    • I think I would be tempted to trade Cancelo to an Ars defender ready for DGW23.

    • How about replacing JWP with Rodrigo to add another DGW player?

  2. Almiron to Bruno F and KDB to Mahrez for free? Or?

    • Got similar team, I did Almiron & Mitro to Bruno & Greenwood. Had to risk and do it before price change.

    • I like those moves

    • Can you swing Almiron to Bruno and Mitro downgrade? And Play KdB?

      Think I’d prefer that option tbh.

      • KDB is a lot of money for poor return. Mahrez (have to hope he keeps starting) way more dynamic. Lets me upgrade elsewhere.
        Mitro, Almiron and Walker need to go. White taking up an ARS attacker spot…so many transfers needed lol.

          This season is a bloody nightmare, not sure I’ve ever done this poorlyfocus – hope you’re faring much better smile

          On that note, maybe don’t take my advice this season rofl

    C. -4 for A & B?

    • B seems like a decent move, but Mee a good option already.

      What about Almiron to Bruno and Mitro downgraded?

      Play Mee vs Southampton?

    • B if you don’t want to take a hit. If you don’t mind then Almiron to Mahrez for the DGW?

  5. OK, Leeds have won their game against Accrington. Now we need Man U to finish the job tonight vs Reading and then the DGW22 will be confirmed officially.

  6. Two free transfers and 0.1 in the bank. I’m struggling to see a transfer

    • What about KDB & Martinelli to Mahrez & Saka.
      I was going to ask which combo is better.

      • Still not sure on Mahrez. Taken off early in the cup

    • The team is well set for both DGWs 22 and 23. It looks like you might have to burn a FT and see how to bring another Arsenal player for 23.

    • I’d move Greenwood on

      • Yeah might have to wait till next week as would need to sell Kane or Bruno to do it,
