Welcome to FPL Live Match Chat Gameweek 23

Back so soon?

At least it’s a normal weekend GW this time. It begins with Everton hosting Spurs in the early KO on Saturday. This is followed by three games at 3pm with Brighton / Palace derby, Fulham going north to Burnley and Luton going even further up to Newcastle. The late game sees Sheffield Utd welcoming Villa.

Sunday at 2pm is stacked with Bournemouth v Forest, Wolves at Chelsea and the Moyes derby as West Ham go to Man Utd. The late game should be a classic as Arsenal host the latest Klopp farewell party.

That just leaves the Haaland (proper) comeback on Monday as he and City go to Brentford.

The games in full…

Goals galore, apparently 4 goals is the new black!

Can’t believe what I’ve seen this afternoon. Brought in Gordon and he leaves injured at halftime. Then Trips gets an assist, but concedes four and then he scores! FPL rollercoster!

KDB or Salah, don’t think I can get both. Thoughts? Think I’ll have to move on KDB tonight though as the bugger is going up again!

So how many players do we need for GW26? Worth bringing in some GW25 doublers who blank (Jota, Abebayo, etc)?

      City playing in gw26 tho?

      Smash says:

3 City and 2 Liverpool I guess. Tricky as Liverpool and Luton blank after and people will have Chelsea and Spurs players

      • Shrivathsa says:

Adding to that, one thing to be watchful of when selecting Liverpool players is that Klopp seems to be resting TAA and Robertson for easier matches like at home to Chelsea, keeping them on the bench to bring in, in case they go behind and need to rescue the game, may be worth watching if it becomes a trend. If that trend holds, then he might rest them vs Burnley at home and Luton at home, they will still come on for a cameo of 15-20 minutes. Gomez / Connor Bradley will fill in for 60 odd minutes. That is also the case with Jota, Szobolosai, Diaz, so, if Salah is not fit, the Livepool picks are a nightmare choice.

        • Kop Warrior says:

Both Robbo and Trent have had injuries, so I don’t think they were rested for Chelsea. Robbo, in particular, is being eased back into the team.
In the absence of Salah, I think Darwin & Jota are close to being nailed on.

        • Smash says:

Think that’s more to do with their injuries than rested, Must admit I’m looking at Darwin and Jota. Konate I’m not sure plays twice. TAA is a hell of a lot of money I’m prob more sceptical on buying him because of the emergence of Bradley but maybe TAA will be used in midfield more

        • Kop Warrior says:

I reckon Trent will be safe enough. Although, as you said, he’s very expensive!
