Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 23

Another gameweek on top of the previous one. This one gets us going with a lunch-time battle of the only two teams that start with the letter A when Aston Villa face off vs Arsenal and that of course is followed by a meeting of the only two teams that start with the letter B in Burnley vs Brighton. Along with that game we have Toon taking on Saints so our alphabet game is already ruined. Fulham and Hammers gets the 5:30 spot and the day is brought to a close by what should be an entertaining affair when United play host to Everton.

Sunday brings us four more fixtures. The early game sees Spurs throttle West Brom, that is followed by a battle of Wolves vs Foxes. The third game of the day is a title decider-ish? Probably not, but it should still be a good one when Liverpool and City renew acquaintances. The day is finished off with Sheffield Utd taking on Chelsea.

The gameweek is brought to an end by the ever entertaining Leeds when they play host to Crystal Palace.

The games in full…

    Afternoon all,
Looking ahead to next GW, I planning to do Lacazette >> DCL and Lewis >> Lowton/another Burnley defender. However seeing Kane back and scoring has made me rethink that, the only way to bring him in would be sacrificing Son and I’m not sure that’s worth it as he usually gets similar points returns to Kane. What would you do here?

Lacazette playing Leeds at home, wouldn’t rush to get rid. I’m viewing DCL as only having one game as I don’t expect anything from Man City game. I’d monitor Antonio, Moyes said not injured and only fatigued but you never know.

Spurs play Man City next, earliest I’d be looking to get Kane back is GW25. Spurs look like they’ll have the best DGW26, so ideally double Spurs for GW26.

I’d do the Lewis to Burnley defender transfer: Lowton to save money, or Mee if you have a bit more cash.

Sorry for rambling a bit, just getting my thoughts down.

Thanks for your thoughts leeboy. Just doing Lewis >> a Burnley defender would be good if I had the cash but got 0.0 ITB, so the only way would be to lose one of my more expensive players.

Don’t need Kane yet he plays City next. I think they have a great double in 26 off the top of my head

I don’t know who to root for in this game. Guess Cancelo CS + attacking return is better than Salah attacking return?

    Hi all,

Just thinking chip strategy and looking to see if fixtures can be maximised.

Assuming that the ‘likely’ double games take place in GW26, this team would give 9 double players in GW24, 4 double players in GW25 and 15 in GW26 (Bamford to Kane) in GW26 with one ft left which probably be used to switch a Burnley defender to someone else with a double.

    Thoughts on the idea?

Pep needs to find a proper penalty taker for the team. One of the defenders maybe?
