Welcome to FPL Live Match Chat Gameweek 24

Just the 10 games this week. Or, at least there are 10 games this week… A couple of sentences there that will become more pertinent as we step into the next few weeks, with D(ouble)GW’s and B(lank)GW’s aplenty.

This one begins on Saturday with Everton going to Man City in the early one, before a relative plethora of 3pm games. Five in fact. Fulham host Bournemouth, Burnley visit Anfield, free-scoring Luton welcome free-conceding Sheffield United, Brighton travel to Spurs and Brentford go to Wolves. The late one sees Newcastle at Forest.

Just the two on Sunday with West Ham v Arsenal at 2pm, if they have stopped celebrating, and then Villa v Man Utd at 4,30pm.

Palace and Chelsea conclude our N(ormal)GW on Monday evening.

The games in full…

Keep track of all the action, the goals, the talking points, right here at FF247 Live Match Chat, an interactive chat which encourages you to keep involved and share your thoughts and emotions as the matches take place.

  1. Phew, finally something from Saliba, it’s been a long time smile

  2. Is the move from Solanke & Porro to Toney & Reguilon for -4 worth it?
This would give me 6 double GW players, already have 3 Citi and Jota.

  3. Villa v Man Utd

    • Sure could use some Ollie Watkins magic today!

    • Am I really gonna bring in Hojlund now?! Cue the blanks… unknw

      • Hmmmm…. Could be a good short term replacement for Solanke who’s next two look brutal.

  4. I think Watkins needs to be replaced with Darwin tonight before his price goes up again yes

    • I don’t think Darwin going up tonight. Watkins will go down probably.
I was thinking about holding but after today not so sure. Last week 18 point, is it risky to sell him. Fixture looks ok and he will play 26.

      • Well, with only 0.1 ITB there is no other way unless I take a hit and cut down on someone else to generate 0.7 and get rid of Solanke instead.

        • U surely have lot of faith in a player who needs 15 big chances to score 1 goal. laugh

        • I can take a hit downgrading Palmer to Garnacho and replacing Solanke with Darwin
Palmer has City and then a blank but Solanke has a great DGW 28 after 2 horrible games wacko

    • I wouldn’t do that Ivan. You’ve got a pretty good team for next week and I don’t trust Darwin to start both matches.
I wish I hadn’t sold Watkins. Will bring him in soon

  5. Not having Saka is killing me. I think Foden>Saka is overdue.

    • Now? With a double for foden? Must be another way to get saka. Why not have both?

      • I suppose I could drop McAtee but then I have a major benching headache as my middle would be Saka, Jota, KdB, Foden, and Palmer. I’ll sleep on it.

  6. Pondering what to do with this squad for the next couple of weeks. I’m pretty happy with it generally (except the keepers) but know I’ll be tearing it up if I want Son or Salah.
Attacking the DGW Solanke > Alvarez fits the bill but I see Alvarez is due to drop. Am I missing something?
Could also look for a replacement for Palmer but have a lot of value tied up in him so the Alvarez moves allows me to bench Palmer
Of course if Trent is out I’ll have plenty of cash

    • Alvarez has given up on scoring. I can hardly wait to give him the boot. He plays too far out from the goal as well.

    • Yeah i lost 0.2 on Alvarez before I finally got rid. Lovely player but occupies precious FWD spot and is not as involved in goalscoring for City.

Would you consider benching Palmer for Solanke, cos Solanke may have a better chance at a return?
