Welcome to FPL Live Match Chat Gameweek 26

Now this is what you call a DGW. 14 games no less spanning from Saturday lunchtime to Thursday evening with 8 teams playing twice.

Saturday itself is chocker and for once Soccer Saturday will be worth turning on with 6 games for Jeff to get his teeth into. It is bookended with West Ham & Newcastle at 12.30pm and Man City vs Spurs at 5.30pm.

We then have just a couple on Sunday with Leeds vs Man Utd at 2pm and Wolves welcoming Leicester at 4.30pm.

The DGW action gets underway on Wednesday with 3 games and then we conclude on Thursday with Wolves going to Arsenal.

  1. Hi there everyone, I know that it’s way too early to be discussing this, but do you think I can get away with playing this team next week and saving my 2 FTs for future weeks? I just need to sell Fabinho and get someone playing in GW27 to have 11 playing members. I have 1.0m ITB. Thanks and enjoy your Sundays (and following DGW26 week days!).

      • Hey thanks very much Obrigado (or should I say, ‘Obrigado o senhor’? 😉 ) Yes I saw that, and it seems quite tempting – or else Gallagher against…whoever it is! Or Cornet?
        But do you reckon that I should just play this team next week, rather than wasting a FH chip? (I’ve got both of them still intact!). 😉

        • Yeah I’m in the same dilemma! I’m thinking of holding off and I’d just make that move or get cornet

  2. Hey guys haven’t posted in a while! Had a really bad start to the season but turning it around now (300k) Hope we are all well and your teams are full of points!

    GW 27 – team as it stands 1FT
    Have two free hits left, bench boost and wildcard.

    Thoughts –
    SMITH-ROWE to WARD-PROWSE and
    LACA to WEGHORST for a -4

    OR

    Freehit keeping all my Liverpool and arsenal players for the upcoming GW’s

  3. Here is my hungover first FH draft. I can’t see it changing much in truth

    • Not activating yet?

    • The only things that comes to my mind is that I might wanna prefer Digne over those ManU defs…

      • Nah I think Villa concede at Brighton and I like United home to Watford for a clean sheet. Maguire would prob be first sub there

        • Ah I see, playing Mee? Or Bednarek? I don’t see a clean sheet for Burnley against Leicester

        • I’d play Mee as has the double. Plus both teams he plays can’t defend from set pieces so could even get a goal

        • Burnley has a double, god I missed that!! rofl Yeah in that case your teams is great!

    • Anyway to escape FH? What about your original team
      Myself have 6 blanking players but with a hit and hopefully playing bench I can escape.

      • Sure I probably could but I’m not sure I really need to navigate it. I have two free hits still and a WC. Generally I have the wrong players and I see the upside in playing it looking at the fixtures

    • I have also activated my free hit. Gone for ronaldo and sterling instead of kane and bruno. And put ward prowse. Rest looks same.
      Kane or ronaldo is a real tight call. But i dont feel like doubling up on manu or spurs attack.

      • Yeah I like Sterling I’m trying to squeeze him in over Foden. Can be done but pretty non existent bench

  4. Any advice on what to do for the next few weeks?
    I have WC, 2FHs, BB and £2.1m ITB

    De Gea (Ramsdale)
    Digne, Cancelo, Reguillon, (Trent, White)
    Bowen, Coutinho, KdB, (Salah, Saka)
    Weghorst, Dennis, Broja

    Only 10 for GW27, if Reguilon even plays
    No idea what to do for the DGWs afterwards
    Help pls

    • Leprechaun – are u committed to the 2 Arsenal and Liverpool? If yes, then get someone for Regullon such as one of Burnley who double

    • I would have a think about when you want to bench boost, 28,29,36 other and think about when to WC and go from there.

  5. A couple of WC drafts below (taking a different aproach by hitting the button this week). Kane team or Robertson team?
    Plan to BB 28 after switching out Burnley player(s). How nailed are Livra & Martinelli?

    • Smith Rowe seems to be the 12th man but also hard to drop a guy that is scoring. I think JWP/ Pernaud and Livra and fighting for 2 places.

  6. I hadn’t planned to use a FH in 27, but my hand might be forced.

    Ramsdale, Tierney, Trent, Salah & Saka. If it were only these missing I could cope as I could just take a -4.

    However, I’ve also got doubts over Coufal, Reguilon and Moura. And I think Dennis went off early yesterday.

    So, I could take a -4/8 and still not field XI players, and the players that I do field won’t be great!

    • Yeah hence why I’m looking at using FH. Sure I could get by but with two free hits and a WC in hand I feel I might as well use one

    • The doubts over Regullon and Moura will exist beyond gw27 though.both are prob a sell over the coming weeks anyway.

      • I’ll WC them our in 28. Obviously I could WC in 27 but I’ll want 3/4 Liverpool & Arsenal players on the WC.

        I probably need to give all of this some more thought! smile

        • If you only want 3/4 Liv, Ars a WC this week is an option as you can have 3 now and bringbin another before 29.
