Welcome to FPL Live Match Chat Gameweek 3

Gameweek 3 is upon us and we have the second ‘normal’ Saturday morning deadline in a row. The bell will go at 11am on Saturday ahead of the will he won’t he Perisic ‘news’ as Spurs welcome Wolves to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Four matches follow at the traditional 3pm slot as Palace v Villa (or Vieira v Gerrard if you like this sort of frame) takes place at Selhurst Park. Everton v Nottingham Forest has a real flavour of the 90s to it, whilst a West London derby by the river takes place as Brentford travel the 6 miles to Fulham. Leicester City v Southampton is the final one at 3pm. ‘9 NIL’ There I said it, now let’s move on. Bournemouth will be praying that Jesus isn’t cross with them at 5.30pm. Or anytime between then and about 7.

Sunday at 2pm and Chelsea go to Elland Road to renew old rivalries with Leeds. West Ham – due to playing in the Europa Conference League on Thursday – will kick off at the same time at the London Stadium; Brighton being the visitors.

Newcastle United v Manchester City – or new money versus old new money – is the 4.30pm offering.

Liverpool again have to wait until Monday to play, but it’s bottom-of-the-table Manchester United at 8pm and there should be no real difficulties there.

The games in full…

Who should I get for Bowen?

Gundogan, Foden, Rodrigo, Rashford for free or Toney & Gross in a -4?

    Cant make my mind up.

    Hi guys

First time posting here. Been following for a while.. Great site thanks.

I’ve started the season pretty slow , ild say around average .

I got 55 points this week.

I have attached my side. I have three spurs players as I’m very confident in them this season.(coming from a spurs fan). I want to keep kulu as I think he has been great and he is always looking dangerous, alot comes from him . He will get assist and score, even last game he didnt score but played well (2nd half) and nearly set Kane up. Kane is having a great season and will keep scoring so I fancy him as my capt alot and persic looks class.

I’m thinking maybe take ward out for Henderson or Paterson for Saliba?

    What you guys think?

    Cheers
    Souldog (spurs fan)

Doing something about you goalkeepers seem like a good idea

Hey Souldog, I also have the Leicester pair and it is really irritating. If you have don’t have any other pressing needs and I wouldn’t call getting Rodri in a pressing need, that feels like a move if you have nothing else to do and have 2 free transfers and don’t want to lose one. I would keep the Leicester keeper who starts so unless you hear that Ward is getting dropped and he might (probably should) I probably keep the starter as a 4.0 backup for whoever I bring in. If you can get a 4.0 starter as your guy on the bench that is probably better than just having a 4.0 who never plays.

One more thing I will say, if you plan on using your Wildcard anytime soon, I would say that getting a keeper with better fixtures is probably the way to go. I would lean Sanchez as he plays on the team with the tighter defence who has the better fixtures in the next few weeks. If you want to switch to Henderson with your WC then perhaps that is the more ideal moment and not now? Just a thought.

Really trying hard not to rage WC / Hits.?
    Anyone else thinking the same?.

    Trent / Robbo / James / Bailey Archer…OUT
    Trips / Dunk / Dier / Dasilva / Kane…IN
I know it looks crazy, but team would look like this..

    Rams
    Trips / Dier/ Cancelo / Dunk
    Martinelli / Salah / Rodrigo
    Jesus / Kane / Haaland

Subs. Ward – Andreas – Dasilva – Neco

See after B mouth game. If they again concede, then ship them out.

Don’t do it Popz, look ahead to the fixtures. You have a good team here before WC.

    • 94.3

Popz, like K said, the team is decent enough to see at least two more rounds. Don’t be tempted to waste the WC for a couple of players who might or might not continue with glory. We’ve seen it many times in the past, the first few games are not indication how the season will go. Many players have fire start and then disappear for the rest of the season. Using the WC before a tight schedule (3GWs in 10 days) is very risky due to the inevitable rotation and injuries. I’m personally planning to wildcard GW9 which is after the international break, navigating with a few hits if needed by then.

        Thanks guys
A lot of my rage was watching Liverpool looking toothless vs a “poor” Man Utd last night,
Very concerned what’s going on at Liverpool atm, the team is deffo missing Mane,
Surly we can do better against B’mouth?
One more week for my double pool at the back.
Will hold the WC for now.

        • praveen says:

“Poor” man utd? Did you watch the game? They were poor in the first 2 games for sure, but played amazing football against pool

        • Elleffcee says:

You can’t go on one game Praveen, if you had put the under 9s out they’d be up for it. United are still shite and they need to sort a lot of problems out. Some fans last week were wondering if getting the manager was a wrong decision.

        • praveen says:

sure with that logic, we cant go with first 2 games as well. Wait it out. They got Casemiro in as well. ETH is definitely the man. Don’t get me wrong, I agree club has issues. But the team is definitely good enough for Top 4, real question is whether the team can show their potential. I really think they will under ETH. Manager is not afraid dropping big players, he’s the man!

        • Talking about Casemiro smile

        • Elleffcee says:

He would say that, the prick. Its them thats giving him well over 200k a week.

I’m also thinking to stay put unless someone has any suggestions. 1 FT and 0.4 ITB.
