Welcome to FPL Live Match Chat Gameweek 3
Another gameweek in the books and another on the cards. As Gameweek 3 starts we are sitting here dreaming of how we are going to fit a certain Portuguese superstar into our teams. Still, let us leave that struggle for another day and turn our attention to the task at hand, which is scoring well this week. The gameweek gets started with City laying waste to Arsenal in the early game. That is followed by five 3pm kick-offs. Villa take on Brentford, Brighton play host to Everton, Toon welcome in Southampton, Norwich battle it out with Leicester and hopefully The Hammers take apart Palace. The day is not done yet though, as the Premier League have left their best game for last when Liverpool play host to Chelsea as both teams will be looking to send an early message to one another.
Sunday brings us the remaining three fixtures. There are two games scheduled for a 2pm start. Burnley tangle with Leeds and Kane pretends he is happy to be at Spurs when they play Watford. The gameweek is brought to a close with Traore trying to finally put away a chance, this time against Manchester United and (the soon to be defunct) ‘Pen’andes.

What was the tactical reason to replace Firmino by Jota? To inject more pace?

Think firmino would have been replaced at half time anyways. Liverpool looked poor till the red card and penalty.
Its quite difficult to break Chelsea. They look real solid at the back.
(1) Who all are planning to WC in this break?
(2) Ings to DCL was the planned move in Gw4. How did DCL look? or, go premium?

I don’t think I will WC. I have two FTs. I’m eyeing Bruno>Ben and Ings>Luka or CR7. Just my early thoughts. Obviously it will depend on tomorrow’s games and how the IB sorts itself out.

Look at Chelsea tonight first and see what happens during IB? I have 2fts… probably holding on to them as long as possible.

I know Pool isn’t very liked in England but in my country we dislike teams that bought their way into Europe more, teams like City/PSG. Seems all the top teams in England do that now though.

Frustrating as a non salah owner. He gets 8 points for an unfortunate penalty. And lukaku got no service bcoz the harsh red card.

I actually wanted to see if Luka is better options or players around him! The RC really destroyed it. I guess Luka will hold 2 defs and players around him will get more opportunity – not 100% sure though. But Warner will be deadly in such situations, only if he can finish.
Also looked to me an ego clash between Luka and Havertz. We all know Havertz is quite selfish and does not pass the ball. I guess Touchel needs to work on this. Warner is much better in those moments.

Lukaku will start scoring against if he gets more services and against easier teams . I am sure. Liverpool away that too with 10 men for a half.. Cant get tougher than that. Lukaku will get assists too if havertz and mount can finish it.
Many are still blabbing that Bruno was relying on penalties but it looks like salad is that one.
And, why this taa should get 2 BP and Havertz only 1, even if he played just 45 minutes

maybe they should change the pts for penalty like bundesliga- 3 pts for a penalty.
why dont the chelsea defenders get all the bps and the keeper? they didnt concede with 10 men for a half.

i know the rules but defending against extra man for so long should be given more bonus pts than kicking a ball in the net from 11 meters.

I think a bit of context needs to be applied here.
I Think it’s a ridiculous comment personally
His problem at Everton, and much the same at Man Utd, was that his first touch was such that his second touch was always a tackle. Not much has changed judging by yesterday’s performance.
That said, I think he’ll score a shed load this season.
And, yeah, context etc……..
Think I might put the idea for WC on hold for another GW.
The team ain’t looking that bad with 1 FT and 0.9 ITB.
Something needs to be done with Barnes or Tsimi though.
