Welcome to FPL Live Match Chat Gameweek 3
Another gameweek in the books and another on the cards. As Gameweek 3 starts we are sitting here dreaming of how we are going to fit a certain Portuguese superstar into our teams. Still, let us leave that struggle for another day and turn our attention to the task at hand, which is scoring well this week. The gameweek gets started with City laying waste to Arsenal in the early game. That is followed by five 3pm kick-offs. Villa take on Brentford, Brighton play host to Everton, Toon welcome in Southampton, Norwich battle it out with Leicester and hopefully The Hammers take apart Palace. The day is not done yet though, as the Premier League have left their best game for last when Liverpool play host to Chelsea as both teams will be looking to send an early message to one another.
Sunday brings us the remaining three fixtures. There are two games scheduled for a 2pm start. Burnley tangle with Leeds and Kane pretends he is happy to be at Spurs when they play Watford. The gameweek is brought to a close with Traore trying to finally put away a chance, this time against Manchester United and (the soon to be defunct) ‘Pen’andes.

Probably in Gw7-8 break…not much info yet regarding Che / City / Utd / Spurs with all players in.

Not in any mad rush to wildcard, unless the side is wiped out by international injuries.
The side seems to be ticking along ok.
Will probably start making some vague plans for the likes of Lukaku et al but not in a massive rush.

In 2 weeks time we have a relegation battle with Norwich to climb to the 19th spot. What a joke !
GM, I hope things get better with the upcoming run of nice fixtures.
Not an Arsenal fan myself but seeing the crowd today cheering after 3rd (or 4th?) goal wasn’t a good thing.
You can’t tell that run of nice fixtures. The team has no style, no class, no cohesion, no plan A, no plan B. It looks like they are on a training pitch. None is playing for the badge. We knew that we will lose to Che and City – no surprise in that. But the effort that was put in these matches are questionable. I do not see any glimmer of hope/progress over past 1.5 years under Arteta.
Arsenal will be mid table. They will start winning with the easy fixtures. Relegation talk is a bit of a joke just no chance

The weird thing with Arsenal is that I just see them now as a source of decent cheap enabling players.

I would get a cheapo and put the change into a savings’ account. It may come in useful.

Hi Mitro. Yes Ralphina looks the best option in that price range.
I think I will need him as apart from the next GW Toney’s fixtures turn into horror.
Your attack doesn’t look bad, neither the midfield. I would hold it for now. For me it looks like you could monitor your defence. Personally I hate using My FT on a defender, but as Amartey and Tsimi are not sure starters after the IB, you will have Shaw, Coufal and Veltman (not sure on him either plus mismatch with Toney).
Maybe a cheapo from Wolves or even from Arsenal.

I know the defence would be a problem. Eventually VVD must come in but that can be done at later stage when I move to 4-5-2, most likely for GW 5 with a hit, providing that I am still keeping the WC.

Thought Tsimikas might be half a chance to start, so left him on field with Ayling on bench.
Tsimikas comes in for 4 mins and a point.

Bench him on 2nd or 3rd spot.

If I don’t have any other fires to put out I may quietly move him along, possibly for Livramento, before GW4.
This will then enable a third (starting) Liverpool player – Jota, perhaps if as Smash sez, Firmino is injured.
