Welcome to FPL Live Match Chat Gameweek 30

Back to normality this week after the dizzying heights of the DGW29 – with ton-plus scores aplenty – as each team plays just the once in BGW30 (‘Boring’ Gameweek 30).

Manchester United v Everton is the Saturday lunchtime kick-off – dare you captain Rashford and risk ruining your weekend? Saturday proceeds with no fewer than SIX 3pm matches as Aston Villa play Nottingham Forest, Brentford welcome Newcastle to the G-Tech, and a London derby is in store as West Ham head west across the capital to stare down Fulham. Managerless Leicester v Bournemouth, Tottenham against Brighton and Wolves v Frank Lampard’s Chelsea (*checks year*) are the remaining 3 at 3.

Easter Sunday is rolling with Leeds v Palace and a cracking one in store at Anfield as Liverpool host Arsenal. That’s two egg jokes you’ve had. Feel free to poach them.

    Marcus Rashford Update:

Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford will be out for “a few games” with a muscle injury.

The 25-year-old England international left the field holding his groin during the second half of United’s win over Everton on Saturday.

United did not give a specific timeline for his return but said he is expected to play again this season.

Rashford, who has scored 28 times this season, has played in all of United’s league games.

His side play Sevilla in the Europa League quarter-final first leg on Thursday at Old Trafford.

“The forward was withdrawn in the 80th minute of Saturday’s 2-0 Premier League win over Everton at Old Trafford and immediately headed to the dressing room for treatment,” United said.

“Subsequent assessment of the injury suggested that Marcus will be unavailable for a few games, but is expected to be back for the season run-in.”

Wild card? I’ve got WC and FH left, but not BB. The FH is for gw32, but I’m not sure when to WC.
I really don’t like my current team, and I want to go to three premiums, as I think the relatively low prices make it easier to fill out the team.
The attached is a first draft, with perhaps some idiosyncratic picks, but I think they can be justified. Any suggestions will be appreciated.

Any thoughts what to do. Think I can play march and bench rashford and then fh32 by which time hopefully rashford will be back. Is it time to sell maddison? Do I go for grealish or martinelli. Thinking alot will go rashford to grealish so could hurt me not owning. Open to selling shaw if he is out again.

I think the Rashford to Graelish crowd have their FH chip left since MC blank in 32. I do not so I am looking at other options that would bring in someone who plays in 32.

      • KI says:

Yes. Grealish if you can live with Guardiola’s rotations. And a better run-in? And yes, sell Maddison. I can’t see Leicester getting any big wins, and the cash comes in handy elsewhere e.g. Alexander-Arnold for Shaw, and a better run-in?
