Welcome to FPL Live Match Chat Gameweek 30
It’s all or nothing in FPL these days and we go straight from some of the longest ever GW’s to one of the shortest this time, or at least the most bereft, as there are just 4 games in this one. They are at least spread over 3 days to give some illusion of an actual FPL weekend.
We begin on Friday with Wolves hosting Leeds at 8pm.
There is just the one again on Saturday and it will be over by the time a good few of you even wake up as Arsenal go to Vilaa at 12.30pm.
Sunday is the bumper offering with all of 2 games! Leicester welcome Brentford at 2pm before West Ham go to Spurs at 4.30pm.
And that’s that.
We then have an International Break which means that GW31 is not until April 2nd. As we say, it’s all or nothing around here these days.

Not posted my team in a while. Here are my early thoughts. I have two free transfers with 1.2 in the bank, I want to get R James back in who has been training so should be back next match. Ait Nouri can go. The strikers are not doing much this season so I want to move away from playing them. Any suggestions?
A) Ait Nouri and Toney out for James and Dennis
B) Ait Nouri, Raph and Toney out (-4) for James, Weggy and Gallagher
C) Dubravka and Doherty out for Foster snd James
D) Anything else

You seem super heavy in defense and weaker in midfield. No Barnes, Havertz, Madds? James is a must I agree but maybe no Robertson?
I am trying to figure this out for myself too.

Hmm, I quite like B) but with Barnes/ Tielemans/ Maddison instead I think.

I guess something like James Barnes and Hwang might work.

Can’t afford them hence Gallagher and I do t like Hwang as an option purely as you don’t know when he plays

Ok, makes sense. I guess you could also just dump Toney to a cheapo and avoid playing more than 1-2 fwd’s. Makes the hit a bit less appealing though.

With the matches against Madrid and recent fitness issues I’m becoming concerned that James’s minutes may be managed somewhat? Do you think he could be rested for a number of the prem games? League position could be fairly assured as long as they keep things ticking over.

Maybe but we saw the damage he could do in 60 mins for example and the fixtures look fantastic

I think he’ll be managed a little better this time to avoid another repeat of his injury. But Smash is right, his ceiling is massive regardless of minutes

Doherty to Amartey (or White / Taylor) would be my preferred way of getting money rather than Gallagher.

I think you may need one more nailed defender, I think I would be worried about getting a team out some weeks. Not sure on Leno, really depends on the Ramsdale news. My personal preference would be to go without Ronaldo and bring in Robertson, Cancelo, James, maybe Tierny etc.

Going into this gameweek I was actually quite content with myself. Haha. No transfers done and it looked like I would field 11. Omg… it’s a catastrophy and my guess it’s that for all.
No Raphina, no Ramsdale, no Martinelli.

GW30 FH was downplayed by most coming into this stretch, but seems to have paid off big for folks who were able to play it.
