Welcome to FPL Live Match Chat Gameweek 36
It’s yet another DGW! Although this is a mini-one. Only Brighton and Newcastle double up but their game does mean that we go through to Thursday evening once more.

We begin on Saturday with contrasting needs but with both Leeds and Newcastle battling for the win at 12.30pm.

5 fives at 3pm follow with Villa v Spurs, Forset off to Chelsea, Palace hosting Bournemouth, Wolves at Man U and Saints welcoming Fulham. And that is Saturday done with no later games this time.

Sunday has the 3 with Brentford v West Ham & Everton v Man City at 2pm. The 4.30pm game sees Brighton go to Arsenal.

Leicester and Liverpool have Monday to themselves at 8pm.

Newcastle and Brighton finally get their 2nd go on Thursday at 7.30pm.

The games in full…

  6. Off topic! Fantasy cricket, The Ashes, Only a month away, can we do this? i will set it up when it opens, looks easy enough to play, even if we only get our usual few it will be something to do during the FPLbreak, as the games start in the evening here in Hong Kong, i will try my hardest to update the squads before deadlines and post the league after points confirmation, Any way here it is.https://thecricketdraft.com/launcher?competition=the-ashes

    • I’m in for it

    • Fantasy Ashes is now live, Iv’e set up a league..http://thecricketdraft.com/the-ashes/leagues/join/1a8b456223d4

Unique Token: 1a8b456223d4 It would be nice if we could get a few playing, !st test starts next Thursday 16th June and the last test is 27th July, so should fit in nicely with the FPL break, Rules seem pretty straight forward, but i would advice you read about the All rounder slots.https://thecricketdraft.com/help

    • Fantasy Ashes 2023, nice to see we have enough for the league to be competitive, but there’s plenty of room for others to join, http://thecricketdraft.com/the-ashes/leagues/join/1a8b456223d4 1st deadline Thursday 11.00am, all welcome

    • Am I right in thinking that Double Captain and 12th Man chips can only be used once across the series?

    • Is there a way to get a live update on everyone’s team ?

      • Can’t see how to, just individual scores on your own players.
It seems quite an easy application to use – I only signed up last night and have been frantically checking team line-ups and predictions in press outlets this morning. Oof – all 11 of my starting squad are actually playing! Now for the fun!

      • The Fantasy Ashes league https://thecricketdraft.com/the-ashes/leagues/ff247-the-ashes-fantasy-2023 is now up and running, Cookie is our early leader, a few players on similar scores, so plenty of competition ahead, personally my down fall is Zak Crawley benched and Cummings C – 50, hopefully he doesn’t add any more points for his batting, AJW and Init still bantering in GW38 comments, which I think Init won quite easily, let the banter continue..

      • I didn’t realise its 2 FT for all five games. I thought 2 per game!

        • It’s 2 per test match Otieno, 10 FT’s total, -50pts per transfer after your 2

        • I made two changes for the Lords test. Then when I made 1 for Headingly it charged me -50. Fortunately it was Marsh I brought in

        • I’m not sure what’s going on with yours then Otieno, I did another 3 transfers for a hit of – 50, have you had a look at your transfer history in the players section, if you’ve been experimenting early on they would count unless you have manually reset them also in that section

    • Well that’s my competition blown in one ball! Labuscagne -50

      • rofl

        • And I see Warner has offered a unique gift to England for his final match, in the possibility of securing victory! Thank you David -such a selfless bloke!

        • Fantasy Ashes standings, 2 down, 3 to go, with a massive jump of 5 places Init takes the prizes this round, with a whooping 720pts from his Captain Stokes, shame he couldn’t have stuck around for 60 odd more runs, but there you go, next Deadline 11.00am this coming Thursday

        • Fantasy Ashes, England’s starting XI, Deadline today 11.00am BST

        • England have won the toss and will bowl first

        • Hey everyone,
Enjoying the Fantasy Ashes business – from down-under (not in Australia, I mean from 7th position! Underneath virtually everyone else! Hahaha!). But perhaps new recruits Wood and Marsh can help me out of a hole? Hope so.
Anyway, just wondering if it might be better to let Davie Warner have a break and go to the beach with his family? Broad could bowl at a cardboard cutout of Warner while getting his eye in, and after a few wides and byes, he might just rip the ball through middle stump, Warner having contributed 4 or 5 runs to the Australian tally! Less effort and more entertaining than the present situation!
Looking forward to the rest of the series!
Bye folks – getting back to my FPL drafts! 😉

        • Just a bit generous on the 4 or 5 runs for Warner AJW, 17th time now that Broad has got him out, Splendid choice of transfers with Marsh and Woods, both went completely over my head, needed to get Stokes in to cover Init”s fast approaching fight for top spot bye

        • Mate the cardboard cutout might have got 4 runs off a leg bye!
Got lucky with the late inclusion of Marshy and Wood. Wanted Stokes and Robbo but would have had to sell several arms and legs to do it! smile

        • Fantasy Ashes league standings after the gripping 3rd test, 2 to go, next deadline 19th July (Wed) 11.00am BST

    • Fantasy Ashes.. Englands starting XI, Deadline Wednesday 11.00am BST

      • Fantasy Ashes

        • Fantasy Ashes standings, 4 down, 1 to go. Disappointing end for England and AJW who was on a bit of a March with his double Captain chip, still all to play for, if you’d have been brave enough to have captained Crawley, you’d have had a whooping 614pts, final deadline this Thursday 27th, 11.00am BST

        • Hahaha – thanks Paddy.
Yes rain certainly dampened my chances too, leaving me open to be ‘swamped’ by you all in the 5th test. Oh well, that’s cricket! It was an honour to be temporarily in 3rd place at least! What changes do you think my lot will make? Bring in ‘Todd the Bod’, or even surprise package Neser??? Give Warner one more go against the England bowling team (even the England Lawn Bowls’ team would have a chance of snaring his wicket atm, to be honest!), or not???
Good luck to you all, in any case, as I will be moving back to 5th or 6th spot in our league soon! smile

    • Fantasy Ashes.. England go into the final 5th test unchanged, Deadline tomorrow (Thursday) 11.00am BST

    • If Murphy plays then I think I’m going to bring in Root as my double captain otherwise the team can stay the same

      • Really dunno what to do – have brought in Marnus & Murphy, but only playing Labuschagne in the 11 – and replaced Khawaja with Head.
Could go either way, but I thought I needed to increase the number of Aussies as compared to Poms in the team (was previously 7-4, now 6-5, but balance in favour of ENG, which is far from parochial! ). Khawaja’s probably gonna go out and score a double century now! Oh well! smile

      • Missed the deadline so Brook and Head are in and not Root and Murphy. Double captain on Smith and Labuschagne

        • Crawley
          Brook
          Labuscagne (c)
          Smith (c)
          Head
          Barston
          Marsh
          Stokes
          Cummins
          Broad
          Starc

    • Fantasy Ashes.. So we’re getting to the sharp end of the stick now, top spot is looking a bit exposed now, Init has been quietly chipping away at my lead (no chips left) and has picked a blinder of a 12th man in Woakes 164pts, Cookie has played his Double Captain chip Root/Marsh total 512pts, then there’s Kop making a late dash with his DC chip, Woakes/Smith 580pts, not sure how this league is going to finish, but I think it’s definitely going to change..

      • Fantasy Ashes final standings.. So a very close finish in the end, I just scraped home by a mere 89pts from Init, Init had the top single gw Captain in Stokes 720pts gw 2, which beat most double Captains played throughout by others, he also had the best 12 th man chip in Woakes 287pts in the 5th, 3rd place Cookie had the best score in one gw of 2076pts in the 5th,just beating Kop who had 2058pts,Kop also got the best double Captain score of a massive 984pts with Smith/Woakes also in the 5th,thats about it, thanks for playing and hopefully England get it over the line next time
