Welcome to FPL Live Match Chat Gameweek 5
The first midweek gameweek of the season and our matches are spread across three nights with a 6pm deadline on Tuesday (if you’re only just finding this out here, you’ve probably already missed it!).
Two matches kick off at 7.30pm with Fulham hosting Brighton at the Cottage and a London Derby between Crystal Palace and Brentford.
Chelsea go to Southampton for a 7.45pm kick off and then fifteen minutes later Leeds welcome Everton – where Frank Lampard is sure to get a raucous welcome after ‘Spygate’, which is rarely often forgotten.
Wednesday brings us five games across the same kick off pattern as Tuesday where we find Arsenal playing Aston Villa, Wolves heading to Bournemouth, City sharpening the bayonettes to cut through the Forest whilst West Ham host Spurs in our second London clash of the week. Lastly, ‘4-3’ memories evoked as Liverpool take on Newcastle at Anfield.
Thursday’s solitary fixture is now-revitalised Manchester United looking to put three wins together at Leicester.

I really can’t look passed haaland as captain. Uh came off at 70 minutes and looks in to good form to rest. Even if he’s set to only play 45 to 60 minutes goals are on the cards for him.
He’s also playing villa
I’ve got KDB and Haaland, and I’m terrified in the opposite way, in that I’m scared that KDB will play most of the match, but Haaland may come off the bench and score minimally – in which case I’d rather cappo KDB. Maybe I’ll do Haaland C + KDB VC, so if Haaland doesn’t play, then Kevvie gets the nod!

I’ve had C in KDB last two games for stuff all. I have to stay with him, as soon as I don’t, I know what will happen

Those with kane, considering him as C vs Fulham at home? Bit worried about Haaland starting despite his form.

Raffles, that’s what I was thinking as well but maybe it will be for White. Can’t see Arsenal getting a CS at Old Trafford.

Would love to go Haaland as captain again, but think his minutes may be limited this weekend due to CL next week.
It is between Salah and Jesus, but Salah gets the vote.(at the moment)

I see no reason for Haaland not to start, getting plenty of rest after he’s scored his goals and not having to work too hard for them.
He’ll be going for the hat trick of hat tricks.
