Welcome to FPL Live Match Chat Gameweek 5

The first midweek gameweek of the season and our matches are spread across three nights with a 6pm deadline on Tuesday (if you’re only just finding this out here, you’ve probably already missed it!).

Two matches kick off at 7.30pm with Fulham hosting Brighton at the Cottage and a London Derby between Crystal Palace and Brentford.

Chelsea go to Southampton for a 7.45pm kick off and then fifteen minutes later Leeds welcome Everton – where Frank Lampard is sure to get a raucous welcome after ‘Spygate’, which is rarely often forgotten.

Wednesday brings us five games across the same kick off pattern as Tuesday where we find Arsenal playing Aston Villa, Wolves heading to Bournemouth, City sharpening the bayonettes to cut through the Forest whilst West Ham host Spurs in our second London clash of the week. Lastly, ‘4-3’ memories evoked as Liverpool take on Newcastle at Anfield.

Thursday’s solitary fixture is now-revitalised Manchester United looking to put three wins together at Leicester.

  1. Haaland captain, set and forget.

  2. Feel sorry for the buggers who did not captain Haaland.

    • Me. I changed haaland to salah last minute dash

    • Bees, quite a few did crazy

      • Oh dear…everyone playing against him will have nightmares the night before.

    • How about the buggers who took the C away from Haaland and gave it to KDB before the lockdown.
      (asking for a friend). dash2

  3. Are we gonna have another 9-0 game laugh

  4. I’m pretty sure many of us have the Zinchenco and/or Rodrigo problem. I certainly do. I was thinking of either:

    a. Rodrigo>Oddegard and Zinchenco>Emerson-Royal
    b. Zinchenco>Gabriel/Saliba and Rodrigo>Harrison/Grob

Obviously waiting for the outcomes of today’s matches. Thoughts? Team is below.

    • or….

      c. Rodrigo>Harrison and Zincheco>Perisic

  5. Who’s the best replacement for Rodrigo. I actually have the funds to go to diaz. Should I just take advantage of that and do it as I guess most will go for zaha/gross?

    • Gross looks good. Really wish he was back on pens.

But he looks set for a price rise if you play that way

  6. This Haaland lad looks handy.

    • Finally I get the captain right this season!

      • He could legitimately come off at half time here, his job done.

        • Probably will. Would be great if he can stay on at get 5

        • True, but hope not,

        • Even better if he gets rested second half to go for a hat-trick of hat-tricks at the weekend. Pretty sure that hasn’t been done before

        • Nah, I think he will be rested on Saturday. 3 days before Seville is too short.
Most likely KDB will take care against Villa.
