Five gameweeks in already, how time flies when you’re having fun!

Gameweek 6 begins on Saturday this week, thank the good lord! (Pardew?). The normality ends there though as we have two 12.30 kick offs. Chelsea look to continue their solid form as they welcome Man City while Villa take the trip up the M6 to Old Trafford.

Why are United at 12.30pm but not on TV? Because The Courteeners are playing at Old Trafford Cricket Ground that night! These rock bands think they can Take Over The World!

Four 3pm matches follow as Everton hope the visit of Norwich may inject some momentum into their campaign, Antonio looks to single handedly destroy the Leeds defence, Leicester host Burnley and Newcastle take the long trip down to Watford where the Hornets might be asking the Geordies What Took You So Long?

The evening match sees miserly Brentford hoping to contain Salah & co who are eyeing another league title. Not Nineteen Forever then Reds?

Sunday sees two matches. First up is Wolves – with Adama Traore Cavorting (but not scoring) as they go to Southampton and then we have the NLD at The Emirates as Arsenal and Spurs fight it out to see who can be London’s worst club. Taking the perfect opportunity to slag both clubs in one sentence? No You Didn’t, No You Don’t!

Our gameweek ends on Monday as Palace draw swords with their arch enemies, Brighton. If you have FPL players in this one, Bide Your Time.

The games in full…

Keep track of all the action, the goals, the talking points, right here at FF247 Live Match Chat, an interactive chat which encourages you to keep involved and share your thoughts and emotions as the matches take place.

Thanks bruno. Lose 14 to 18 pts due to bruno arrogance.
Absolutely arrogance by bruno to take penalty when cr7 is on the pitch.

Wouldn’t say it’s arrogance. Bruno usually takes them and has a better record. But agree Ronaldo should have taken it I think he could handle the pressure more. Might have been in the back of his mind thinking I’ll show everyone why I should be taking them and the pressure got to him

      • Reg83 says:

Yes he was hugging the ball like a small child not willing to give it away.
I guess this will settle the penalty debate. But no so sure if i should keep cr7 now with really tough fixtures coming up

Time for cr7 and Greenwood to go for salah and a 7 to 8m forward. Will just hold cr7 at home to everton as Liverpool play vc city next.
Terrible performance by manu. And bruno spolis captain haul.

I am surprised to see Bruno’s penalty taking technique…..thats not how he takes. Either he runs more and blasts, or, runs less in that one step hop way. Last one against Martinez (last season), he ran more and blasted and scored. Today, he tried something new (mixing his both techniques) – I guess tried to fox Martinez and made a mess.

What an utter shitshow so far, hilariously so in my case. I don’t think I’ve ever had two defenders limp off so early. My only surprise is that Ronaldo didn’t miss the penalty.

Oh well, lots of games to come.

Good luck to those who stuck the captaincy on Salah (or Antonio).

A slow start is perfect for a strong finish young K! You know yourself that ’tis unwise to judge a game week from its opening matches! I’m sure your newly reconditioned team will perform elegantly well! Just think of Biggles and Ginger flying missions above war-torn Europe and bringing back the victory for the RAF, old Blighty and for fair-play in general! Come Sunday evening, you’ll be sitting around the supper table tucking into toast and and a nice cuppa with the knowledge and satisfaction of having done the best you could! Cheerio! smile

      • Kralin says:

More likely, continuing the riff from earlier in the week, feeling the balmy breath of the eternal Maytime of Heaven whilst plummeting down towards the slimy pit and cauldrons of liquid flame.

But yes of course, very early days. I saw the comic potential within the unravelling of the side – normally wouldn’t post whilst games are on. Steadying the ranks.

At the start of the season I was set on my wildcard this week. Now I’m not so sure. I’m thinking to put it off and if Ronaldo starts dropping I’ll reconsider to save my TV
