Welcome to FPL Live Match Chat Gameweek 7

We have a three day Gameweek this time stretching from Saturday until Monday. Just be advised that Gameweek 8 is then a Friday deadline.

Saturday itself begins with an angry angry Tuchel going to Fulham at 12:30pm. We then have four 3pm games with a South Coast derby(ish) between Bournemouth and Brighton, Leicester and Villa seeing if either can keep their manager in a job, Wolves probably on the end of another Liverpool backlash at Anfield, whilst Saints and Brentford looks tame. Man City and Spurs clash in the late one at 5:30pm, which should be tasty and interesting, in equal measure, and that’s just in the dugouts. Manager-cam anyone?

On Sunday we have three games with the now usual pair of games at 2pm with the Arteta derby as Arsenal welcome Everton along with Newcastle visiting West Ham. ‘Super Sunday’ this week at 4:30pm sees Man Utd go to Palace, let’s hope it is not foggy once more.

Leeds and Forest see us out on Monday at 8pm.

  2. WC activated. Do I do Isak and Trent to Kane and Rico Henry? Should I keep or sell Martinelli? I still have 1.8 itb. Anything else I might do here? Taking a punt on JWP this week but kind of looking towards Maddy and Zaha maybe for Martinelli and JWP the week we come back from IB.

    • I would definitely have Zaha on my WC. I would not hold onto TAA, but bring him back with he/LIV improves. Too much money tied up.

      • Yeah I’m kind of thinking Martinelli out to Zaha and play Bailey.

        Really not sure about Trent. Liverpool could come out crazy after the IB with all this time off and work Klopp could have done. It’s hard to know

        • I do have a bit of a rotation scenario in my head between JWP, Martinelli, Maddison and Zaha but have to work it all out on paper first before I post it here.

  4. Hello lads. Thinking of these transfers this week. TAA > Trippier + Archer > Mitrovic. This will let me field 10 rather than 9. I’ll be sitting on .5 ITB after this so I could change players on either with .5 wiggle room but I can’t think of another better possible move atm.

    2Ft, 0.8 ITB. Let me know what you think, thanks!!!!

    • Other possibilities would be Kane + rashford/Gordon/ward Prowse/Saint maximin

      • Out for Archer + Salah.

        • First 2 moves seem solid. Gives you points and hedges your losses against surrounding teams, as they are popular moves. Take stock after GW 8. 😉

    Would you wildcard here? I already made one transfer TAA to Trippier so would need to take a 4 point hit.

    • Nah, looks alright to me.

      Perisic and Neco can start. Andreas is a capable deputy as well.

      You can drop Salah to someone for -4pts, thats about it.

    • I don’t think so

    • I wouldn’t wildcard that no.

      However, I’d consider getting another onfield player e.g. for Groß, Salah or Sinisterra, if it turns out you don’t have a full XI come deadline time

  6. With the gw8 fuxture announcements turns out I’m going to have 5 players blanking. Does that pretty much force my hand to play a WC. I have 2ft. Should I activate it now?

    • At first glance I though its a certain wildcard but with your two transfers and bench players you can get to 10, 11 with a hit.

      So guess it depends how much you want to wildcard vs your original idea of when to play it and what your WC draft looks like compared to what you can field without playing it after transfers.

    • Hey Mr. M – I think I would favor a FH here to the WC. Could also just take a -4 and make 3 transfers to get pretty close to sorted. Keeps the WC in your back pocket to navigate around world cup time.

      • I think we will have unlimited transfers for World Cup.
        I am planning WC for international break.

    • You may want CHE LIV and MNU players on your wildcard so I would rather save it for 12/13

      I would favour Salah to Son, Plange to Mitro and TAA to ? for -4 his week.
