Welcome to FPL Live Match Chat Gameweek 7

We have a three day Gameweek this time stretching from Saturday until Monday. Just be advised that Gameweek 8 is then a Friday deadline.

Saturday itself begins with an angry angry Tuchel going to Fulham at 12:30pm. We then have four 3pm games with a South Coast derby(ish) between Bournemouth and Brighton, Leicester and Villa seeing if either can keep their manager in a job, Wolves probably on the end of another Liverpool backlash at Anfield, whilst Saints and Brentford looks tame. Man City and Spurs clash in the late one at 5:30pm, which should be tasty and interesting, in equal measure, and that’s just in the dugouts. Manager-cam anyone?

On Sunday we have three games with the now usual pair of games at 2pm with the Arteta derby as Arsenal welcome Everton along with Newcastle visiting West Ham. ‘Super Sunday’ this week at 4:30pm sees Man Utd go to Palace, let’s hope it is not foggy once more.

Leeds and Forest see us out on Monday at 8pm.

I don’t understand why Man U v Leeds and Brighton v Palace are off, they are NOT in London!

I can understand Chelsea v Liverpool being off and also Spurs v Leicester and Brentford v Arsenal as they are London Home games, but Manchester and Brighton are Not in London and okay it might be an issue for Palace fans getting through London to get to Brighton but there is no issue for people from Leeds going to Manchester!

The issue for all this is the FA backroom wankers that decide all the fixtures, all the time the Champions and Euro league clubs get tough domestic games when they also play Champs/Euro matches.

I know the FA/Prem only got one hours notice to decide last weekend, but those games should have all gone ahead and this coming weekends games called off, they look like a bunch of idiots, but the FA backroom wankers are probably doing just that.

The issue is policing. They both require huge police presence (well Man U Leeds does anyway!).

I think the 2 mentioned games involve 2 sets of fans that historically hate each other and therefore a bigger police presence is needed.
As in the case when the Queen was in Scotland, it’s reported that 40% of Scotland’s police force were used as security for it, i imagine a similar number of English police are being pulled to London for the same thing.

      • Terminators says:

But Spurs and Brentford are playing at home in London!

I get that police are required, what they should do in regards to Man U v Leeds and Brighton v Palace is have the games go ahead with minimal police and if the fans misbehave then their matches for the rest of the season are played with no fans of the respective clubs.

        • banjomaker says:

The difference being that Spurs v Leicester and Brentford v Arsenal require nowhere near the police efforts that the other games do. Man U v Leeds with no police would be carnage. The funeral is a national effort, so I understand cancelling the games that require huge police resources, irrespective of location.

Keeping in mind Arsenal and Man City blank in GW12. Which option? (0.1ITB)
    1) Salah to KDB
    2) Gross to Paqueta
    3) Salah to Son and then back to Salah in GW9
